Good Job! And I really hate it if this isn't just a silly one-off and leads into a new arc, the conclusion of which we won't see until next year. But it is what it is.

That's not entirely true. Evangelion 1.11 aired with green bumpers on St. Patrick's Day. And of course, there was also the Food Wars marathon on Thanksgiving weekend last year. But a full recharacterization of one of the hosts would be going quite a bit further than that.

That's not really true, at least not in my town. Bars are open late again. It's not like late March and April, when everything was takeout-only and shut down at 7 PM, so it's once again a sacrifice to stay home and watch Toonami.

Well, there is one distinguishing characteristic between Boruto and Black Clover: Bo already had tons of dubbed episodes. There was no need for it to go on hiatus based on that. Black Clover, on the other hand, has been literally touch-and-go for 3 months now. So I really don't think BC's situation is anything like Bo's, and if you think otherwise, you probably just have your head up your butt!

Hopefully this week's episode will end the current "season" in a conclusive way! Ironically, we made it 5 episodes ahead of Japan's hiatus before WE ended up taking a similar hiatus!

This isn't a Toonami promo, but it IS pretty good!

The good news is the 2nd half actually did relatively well: Adult Swim’s line-up included the special HOLY CALAMAVOTE at 0.16 and the ERIC ANDRE SHOW at 0.13, and its regular shows rated as follows: DRAGON BALL at down 0.05 to 0.13/252K, JOJO’S BIZARRE ADVENTURE down 0.03 to 0.14, ASSASSINATION CLASSROOM down 0.02 to 0.15, FIRE FORCE down 0.01 to 0.14/259K, NARUTO up 0.01 to 0.14/275K, and DEMON SLAYER steady at 0.13/253K. That's right, folks. ASS CLASS at 2 AM led the block!

They're airing Ass Class in place of Black Clover! That's not a bad show at all! It's Fire Force Season 1 that gets replaced by Googley Moogley Pichu: Death Beats! Seriously, this was pretty much inevitable. Black Clover will be better off after going on a 2-month hiatus. And of course, after being loaded with reruns for the past 4-5 months, Toonami will FINALLY feel mostly NEW again, with 5 out of its 7 shows premieres!

And both eligible Toonami shows kicked Calamavote's ass in 18-34! Really not too shabby for 1:30 and 2 AM! But man, was the Eric Andre sneak a hilariously bad idea or what!?

This won't be like "Aincrad: Brotherhood." If anything, it will be the OPPOSITE! It will be like the new anime that makes the original depiction of Aincrad LOOK like Brotherhood to Progressive. No, really. Brotherhood took 14 episodes to tell what was fully fleshed-out in the original '03 FMA anime, and kept on going from there. Meanwhile, SAO Progressive will take what was sped through in the first 14 episodes of the original SAO anime and flesh that out.

Looks like this was probably the best episode of the show yet; too bad it was apparently on too late for me to actually catch it! But I DID record it, and watched it this afternoon, and it was GREAT!! Nice mix of comedy, and the unexpected detail that Koro-Sensei may once have been human that was quickly swept under the rug... Can hardly wait for more next week!

Possibly? GOOD CATCH! And ironically the ending that didn't even air last night! It was menacingly there all along, just waiting for its turn to take center stage? I wonder if this bizarre post-major-conflict side story is less inconsequential than we're led to believe? I'm really looking forward to seeing where this is going next week!

No review until next week, since these episodes were presented as a one-hour special in Japan, but DAMN, did Diavolo like suffer the worst fate I've ever seen a villain suffer on Toonami or WHAT!?

Sorry, I haven't been feeling quite myself lately. Staying up late on Saturday nights for the late shows of Toonami is less of a priority for me anymore than sleep. That said, I did wake up at like 5:30 AM and watch this with the west coast before going back to sleep, and yep, I forgot what an asshole Urokodaki was! Next week, get ready to watch Tanjiro spend half the episode trying to break a big rock!

It's probably gonna get another break on Halloween and will most likely return 11/7, though that's not a sure thing. A 2 month hiatus on Toonami would do it some good so it can come back strong with Episode 137 in January. Man, this episode was pure campy rom-com, and I enjoyed it from start to finish, pretty much laughing my ass off at its utter offbeat ridiculousness! Yeah, I probably would have given it half a star higher!
