Yeah, that looks kinda like Makasu's middle finger! After tonight, the show's kicked off Toonami, but let's just try to enjoy the next 2 episodes, maybe? Episode 9: "Fdim" and Episode 10: "F#Min7" 2 AM tonight (12/12-13), world-premiering on Toonami!

Episode 14: "Vision Time" Koro-sensei teaches us one last lesson in 2020! Tonight (12/12-13) at 1:30 AM!! ONLY TOONAMI!!

I think this bodes well for Toonami to eventually be an animated category replacing Crunchyroll on on HBO Max, actually. This certainly opens the door for more animated DC stuff on HBO Max, under the Toonami name and streaming alongside Toonami's usual anime offerings!

It will certainly be interesting to see what they do with Gridman. Since it's older (late '18), a direct replacement of Gemusetto might not be out of the question. But I do find it funny that there are so many BIG fish out there in early 2021, some emerging in late 2020: AOT Final Season; Yasha-Hime; and Dr. Stone Season 2, and somehow SSSS: GRIDMAN is the show they used the final Pre-Flight to announce. BUT they MAY also be able to do with Gridman (or should I say "SSSS") what they could not with Mob Psycho 100: air the 2nd season in 2021! SSSS.Dynazenon (TV) - Anime News Network Yes, that's right! SSSS saga has a new season, and it's coming out in Japan in April, which of course means we'll probably get it in July! I would expect Promised Neverland Season 2 to fill the stopgap!

Sorry, but not so fast... Ass Class rebounded but it did nowhere NEAR what DBS is still able to do at Midnight. I daresay pretty much the only things that could take its timeslot are either AOT's final season or Yasha-Hime. That said, I do believe that is what is on tap for 2021, and DBS will probably end up in the returning 8 PM hour! It would, of course, be interesting if it were to return with MHA at 8:30 this time, but I doubt they'll try that. Just double up on DBS and let Toonami get a new lead-in show.

And Ass Class some led the charge in key demos, so maybe it should be leading instead of DBS? What's really ugly is that the 2:15 AM episode of Gemusetto: Death Beat(s) got under 200K viewers and <0.1 in 18-49, but good thing it's being put out of its misery this month!

That makes sense because they were last week's. I suppose it's possible that due to the Thanksgiving holiday they just needed a bit more time to make the ones for this week, but so far there have been no topical promos for: Sword Art Online: Alicization - War Of Underworld Episode 17 Fire Force Season 2 Episode 5 Assassination Classroom Episode 14 Gemusetto Death Beat(s) episode 9 (& 10)

It has its moments of brilliance, but yeah, it's the worst show on Toonami right now by far.

I tried to watch it over on ol' Neon Alley. It was great having that and Revolutionary Girl Utena on there! But having watched about 40 episodes of it, I have to say InuYasha is Rumiko's stronger franchise! But back to Ass Class, since I finally got around to watching it all the way through: Episode 13 - Assassination Classroom - Anime News Network Grade: B. I enjoyed this episode a bit more than a B, even if I admittedly fell asleep during it the first time. Also, have you noticed we got NO Toonami topicals this week? Hopefully they will pop up later...

Episode 28 - Fire Force - Anime News Network 3.5 stars--pretty good review. Somehow I missed Tamaki's gratuitous butt shot last night. Maybe I'll rewatch tonight on my DVR and see if I can catch it. Hope that FUNi didn't edit that out.

Demon Slayer should get a marathon of its first 9 episodes to end the year. I know it's a rerun but it would be awesome!
