    For those who might have somehow just gotten into Toonami and were discovering MHA for the first time, this episode was ONE HELL of a way to introduce them to the series!

    I finally pop up to say...what the hell!? The Absolution really IS flying on auto-pilot tonight! I guess I was a fool to expect Zaslav to let them pu even minimal effort into this? Still, it is kinda cool to have this entire mini-arc air as a marathon!

    It doesn't "seem like that" unless nothing shows up at ~12:15 AM tonight! Toonami almost never debuts any promos outside of Toonami. You should know this!!

    We still haven't had the PRIMAL marathon tonight. If there IS in fact an MHA Marathon promo, that's where I would air it. Would have been nice for it to show up last night during the R&M marathon, but it nor Smiling Friends don't "gel" as well with MHA as PRIMAL does. It's also possible that Toonami's staff isn't off today and they in fact go into the office and knock it out.

As for November 12th: https://www.spoilertv.com/2022/11/top-400-cable-shows-week-ending-13th.html?m=1 MiA fell to #120, while MHA missed the reruns chart. First numbers from November 19th: https://showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-saturday-11-19-2022-top-150-cable-originals-network-finals.html MiA made it at #41, but the other 3 premieres were in the 80's. All managed to get >100K viewers, which is on a par with November 12th.

January 2010 was probably [as] ACTN's lowest point when they had absolutely NO premieres for the entire month after a 2009 with only new episodes of Bleach, Code Geass R2, and Moribito, all shows which premiered in 2008 or before. At least the rest of 2010 had FMAB and Kekkaishi. How does 2022 compare to that in terms of new series? Surprisingly similar with only Made In Abyss, Shenmue, and Housing Complex C. Much many more network premieres with a steady diet of at least 4 every week with the exception of a few event and marathon weeks like this one. But then again, all that was brand new in 2021 was SSSS Gridman, Yashahime, Fena, and Black Lotus, so 2022 wasn't THAT much of an outlier.

    This is the 2nd MHA Marathon to air on Toonami, dating all the way back to the first 13 episodes on Labor Day weekend in 2018. Incidentally, this marathon will contain the entire My Villain Academia 5-part mini-arc, and HOPEFULLY the long-awaited promo for MHA Season 6 played ad-nauseum throughout the night, IF Crunchymation gave it the green light for December 3rd. If it IS, it tracks with the other perennial mega-hit Attack On Titan, which debuted January 9th, 2022 on Crunchyroll but February 12th on Toonami. It also tracks fairly well with Season 5, which premiered as a simuldub in April 2021 on Crunchyroll but May 8, 2021 on Toonami... ...if that IS the case. But we'll have to wait and see.

    Write-offs are for tax purposes. Hence, they happen in September. I believe Housing Complex C is safe for at least 10 more months...

    Yeah, if the schedule in which Yashahime was acquired is any guide, we're talking Spring-Summer 2023. But it COULD still show up earlier. They hadn't uploaded Episode 3 to Hulu yet as of this afternoon, at least not according to my search. The first 2 episodes uploaded at 3 PM Eastern on Fridays (11/4 and 11/11, respectively), so I wonder when this one was added? Edit: I found it. Apparently it doesn't go to the same place as the first 2 episodes, so it was confusing. Will probably watch tomorrow.

    No, because it wasn't chosen. In other words, they only had so much time so they used it on other series that came out in Winter 2022 like AOTFSP2.
