1938_Packard Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 we've seen beetlejuice and ghostbusters Most "scary" movies made before 1979 are so cheesy with the special effects that an astute kid today would never actually believe in the monster. They could just concentrate on the story without feeling threatened.

blueraven1999 Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 I'd stick to early Burton movies like Edward Scissorhands and The Nightmare before Christmas. Gremlins and Gremlins 2 are good.

blueraven1999 Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Thanks! I just thought of Return to Oz. It's not that scary, but I thought it was a bit creepy when I was a kid. Just thought of one more The Addams Family and its sequel.
