Jack said it wasn't there because the sword left him. In other words, it disappeared because he was no longer deemed worthy to hold it. It wasn't until he conquered his "demon" that he was redeemed. Why didn't the rest run away after they saw the first wave get destroyed? Is that Buddha? Ashi's mother/master. Wasn't expecting that. You aren't going to get through to her, which means there's only one option left. The horn from the baby sheep... With Angry Jack purged, Jack is balanced again. He has his sword back!
