Some of the Vegas books put out odds on potential Super Bowl match-ups and it's pretty interesting. Despite being underdogs to the Falcons, the Packers would be lesser underdogs to the Patriots in the Super Bowl than Atlanta (the Falcons would be underdogs to both the Steelers and Patriots). GB vs. PIT would be a pick 'em.

i would like matt ryan to win this all, he deserves one and it would be a shame if he doesnt. getting a ring would cement his legacy as a very good qb.

aaron rodgers is playing lights out and also needs a win to cement his legacy. 2 superbowl wins would leave him in elite company.

big ben would get his 3rd win and put him with the aikman types of qbs.

and a win for brady leaves him as the undisputed goat. fuck brady.

really exciting to see the top 4 qbs facing off against each other for the championship games.

Aaron Rodgers doesn't need to do anything to cement his legacy.

He's already the greatest gay quarterback of all time.

hate on the man all you want but gotta respect the way he's playing right now.

he's single handily is carrying that team. a team which has no business being here.

Why do you think I'm hating on him?

I've said it ever since they won that Super Bowl and then get blown the fuck out by the Giants the next season.

Since that season the Packers have gotten worse and worse overall but Aaron Rodgers has been singlehandedly keeping them relevant.

He's the greatest gay quarterback of all time and there's nothing wrong with that.

The Raiders aren't going to rebrand because being nomadic is part of their brand.

That said, the Raiders in Vegas is going to be a fucking disaster. Vegas isn't an NFL market.

I'm fairly confident that it'll be such a colossal fuck up that Mark Davis will be forced to sell the team within 5 years of the move.

i really hope they dont rebrand.

maybe just force the team play some london/mexico games?

Theyve talked a lot about re-branding because they have had issues with gangs using their jerseys as a logo when they commit crimes.  So even though its a historical logo and brand they have issues with criminal elements hijacking their brand.  Thats why they talked about totally changing when they moved as a way to have a fresh start.

Oakland is changing its logo? :o

Theyve talked about it.

Its a problem where the logo and colors have basically been taken over by gangs and criminal activity.  The owner doesnt really want to be associated with that.  So part of the thinking is that when they move to Vegas they totally rebrand with new logos and colors.

Where are you getting your information because I keep a pretty close eye on NFL news and I've heard nothing like this.

yeah i haven't heard of that from anywhere but it wouldn't surprise me if it was true.

most the nfl thinks that as well.

All the radio guys out here talk about it whenever they talk about the move.

There also were articles in San Diego papers talking about how if there was a move to Vegas for any team they would likely rebrand and create a "new" identity in Vegas.

Its one of those "They are talking, but not so openly that its everywhere" sort of things right now.  Shouldnt surprise anyone if they do it, but if they dont it wouldnt be a surprise either.

Eh.  It would make sense.

Moving to Vegas is a big deal.  If they totally rebrand and have a new identity there it gives them a chance to sell totally new merchandise, at an increased price of course, as well as create a "Vegas Team" rather than an NFL Team that just happened to move to Vegas.

Turned it on w/7+ min left in the 3rd - saw the score and started laughing.  I'm sure my GB rooting friends will say something about all the injuries GB has, which when I brought up all the injuries the Bears had when GB beat them, well those were unimportant to the outcome of the game.

They should call themselves the "Vegas Escorts"
