Why is it that animes establish themselves with a great concept, setting, and cast, then they add an annoying shithead to fuck everything up?

Imagine if grapehead was never in MHA and Zenitsu (only cool when he's asleep) was never in Demon Slayer.  The character chemistry, dynamic, and comedy is already perfect, but then the mangakas just have to add these annoying shits.

Jiji is such a worthless character who has done nothing but caused problems.  AND he had the same voice actor as Zenitsu and Kazuya from Rent-a-Girlfriend!  This guy was introduced with basically the Heavy Tessaiga Arc of this show and it's annoying as fuck.

Who cares if this fucker gets control of the Evil Eye (still BAFFLED a thing that wants to kill every human was spared) when he's already annoying as his normal self.

Hey the epic rockers are back!

Beethoven isn't fond of this newfangled "rock music."  Why do people like rocks so much in modern times anyway?  Was this genre started by geologists?

Too bad Aira isn't cute when she uses her powers.  But this is probably more like her real personality... personified... haha.

They combined their powers!

Great, now they have opera singers!

Launching a bunch of minions from their mouths... wtf.

Well that is quite some animation and art style alright!

Funny, I was just listening to the Wagner song used for Excalibur.  Need to re-watch that.  It's definitely the best King Arthur movie.  My unofficial trilogy is Sword in the Stone for kid Arthur, Excalibur for adult Arthur, and King Arthur (2004) for "historical" Arthur haha.

Funny how this series integrated music for a source of strengthening powers. The only shounen series I knew that did that was Soul Eater

Nicely done battle and art, animation, and music.

So... the music class is safe now I hope.

Still more power to be learned and used from Turbo Granny?

Nice!

I like all of those too.

Also, for more fun than realism, I also quite liked King Arthur: Legend of the Sword since I like Guy Ritchie's fun stuff.

"Come on you can't just decide to do things that make sense on your own!"

Yeah we gotta spare the thing that said it wanted to kill all humans.

You want to do this NOW, Okarun?

Hah I just found about that one from trying to find the 2004 one again.  I will check it out.

"You want to protect someone who wants to kill you and every human on the earth.  That's so weird... and so badass."

No it's just fucking idiotic.

Jiji is a Genuine Certified Good Boy and I will hear no slander against him.

So not the actual composers and musicians but the students' fear of them which eventually gained a form of their own.  You don't even need actual ghosts to become ghosts in this world!

I dont have a problem with the way the series has presented and has put more spotlight on Jiji recently, which I'm still absolutely appreciating on this rewatch.

I do have a problem with a character who hasn't been introduced yet on toonami for this series lol

Well he ain't cucked Okarun thankfully, but he's been the cause of 2 arcs worth of problems so far.  You know it's not good to be reminded of an annoying issue like Heavy Tessaiga or Ichigo's 11 second Hollow Mask.  And he's not even the main character and he's having and causing these problems.

So is that how the power works in this show and it's just now introduced?  Not as bad as how late nen, haki, and ninja elemental attributes were introduced I guess.

That's a question I don't fully know  the awnser at the moment . I was just going from pure assumption. I guess it safe to assume that music will play a role in increasing power strength and also decreasing them just as we sorta saw what happen to evil eye in the rock and roll exorcism episode,if I'm remembering correctly.

The initial problem wasn't Jiji's fault at all, and Momo wanted to help her childhood friend (and Okarun initially tagged along because he was mad jelly). As for the second, Jiji is showing basic human compassion for a pitiable creature that has known nothing but pain and suffering for its entire existence. Yes, keeping the Evil Eye around is an objectively bad idea and isn't remotely tenable over the long-term. Assistant guy is right, it should be exorcised despite Jiji's feelings. But as Seiko put it, what if there was another way, one that just for once protected children from just how terrible the world is? She clearly wants to believe in that world. And Okarun is so committed to helping because, well, Jiji's his friend, and you help your friends no matter what. To paraphrase my favorite book, "The pity of Jiji may rule the fate of many."
