I don't mean catch them, but like the guy took his time pointing his hand at the guy. But I guess it was probably "anime time" even though it felt like a situation where Sanji would have reacted. Then again not like that guy was someone he really knew.

True, I think something about it just felt slow in the moment since gangster guy has no presence like a jobber and they usually play up Sanji's speed.

I think on rewatch I'll feel like you said that it's more about not expecting someone to shoot their own crewmate in the back.

Also, while he did point his hand at Pekoms, he didn't look to have a weapon in it, so guessing that's part of his power and don't know if Sanji ever saw him use it before to realize what he was preparing to do exactly there.

Well I don't know that we or Sanji knew this guy could shoot bullets out of his body.  Fitting for a guy with a old timey gangster gimmick though haha.  And yeah could've been a slo-mo thing.

I dont remember enough about Miroku but iirc its part of Sanji's gag to be mostly terrible at picking up any woman, and that him successfully picking a woman up that he could

Yeah maybe.  Sanji is still striking out and doesn't seem to have much character development since he still won't fight a woman either which was really stupid in the Enies Lobby arc where it happened.  

Hah Miroku was a perverted character but women actually liked him because he was oddly charming somehow.  

That might be it.  It is odd that there's still entire shows and movies on YouTube that have been there for years, but a few seconds of audio and people get hit with copyright strikes, and random clips get taken down.  I bet all those cringe Disturbed DBZ AMVs have probably been vaporized. 😄
