The_annoying_one Posted January 1 Posted January 1 I’ll keep everything but the hog jowls. I’ve never had them and I’m not sure I want to. 1 1 Quote

It's not part of the lore but if you go to the trouble of cooking all the other southern fare, might as well do taters. 1 1 Quote
-Kudasai- Posted January 1 Posted January 1 (edited) If that was my lunch that would've been the moment where I would have started my diet. Edited January 2 by -Kudasai- 4 1 Quote

discolé monade Posted January 2 Posted January 2 i'm just gonna say, it REALLY depends on WHO is making THIS particular meal. i'm not trying to be anyway....but YOU have to be SOME type of way to make it REALLY hit different. j/s. and MY hoppin' john IS something quite special. Quote
discolé monade Posted January 2 Posted January 2 now, i'll also say this. mid pointed out a very terrible trend on FB this year, with 'basic bitches' (YKW), talking about they grew up on chittlins. so...at ALL the grocery stores TRYING to find hog jowl, they had bins of pork chittlins AND pig snout. walmart and food lion the ONLY place you'd see that abundant supply of scrap meat like that is the KJ's formally piggly wiggly. all i'm sayin' is WW errrr basic bitches need to just STAHP.
