Sometimes hearing an adult do a kids voice throws it all off. Of course then the VAs will have to be gradually replaced if the content continues longer than the kids growing up. I found out Tails had umpteen voice actors. 2 of them were child actors and one was the younger brother of the first one. 😄 https://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/characters/Sonic-the-Hedgehog/Miles-Tails-Prower/?s=otn I thought Aaron Dismuke did a good job in FMA03 though. I still gotta check how old Bryce Papenbrook was in Trigun haha. I was surprised when I found out he was in that show. 1

Yeah, that could end up a good comparison, I don't know any spoilers. It would really be hard to believe and make sense of haha. I don't know anything of what happens beyond this either, but I think Urahara is a pretty good comparison to Mephisto. 1

rpgamer Posted Friday at 11:26 AM Posted Friday at 11:26 AM Only just managed to get caught up (didn't realize Toonami would be rolling right into season 3 immediately), and, I'm just gonna call this out. I don't think the mother truly earned her redemption in the end. Sure, final act of self sacrifice is great and all. But, narratively, it lacked sufficient justification. The last we had seen of her, prior to possession, she literally had just told her kids to their faces that she wished she never had them (or whatever exact wording). And yeah, sure, we know that was largely by the influence of her lover.. but she was still full of conviction when she said it, and it tracked with her vanity/conceitedness and generally regarding him higher than her own kids. These are all pieces that fit together with what was presented. So, where's the exposition for what caused the change of heart from "I hate you" to "You're my treasure"? Where was any display of remorse for her words? Where was any acknowledgement of the harm she caused in the way she treated her daughters? I ain't saying any of it is fake.. just, writing clearly chose to gloss over all that to get straight to emotional impact. But, I think, on analysis, it leaves her looking a bit undeserving of the forgiveness. 1

It's a big problem in anime with characters having unearned redemption. She definitely chose her lover over her own children. Though, maybe she saw the error of her ways and had a change of heart since she knew she was dying soon. That does happen with people in real life. 1
