Being on a Monday really destroyed the birthday vibes

plus my mothers still struggling to pay the property taxes and thinking about what she’s gonna have to sell to settle that crap  https://gofund.me/2b46fbb0

with cats utility bills and food to think about I’ve kept that fund raiser hanging around until this property tax thing is sorted out

speaking of cats

here’s a picture of one of the cute little furballs

Been taking care of them the best we can but cat food isn’t cheap

still I enjoy having them around

I've been wondering how that's going to feel once my mortgage is paid to have to fork out a property tax payment in full every year myself, but in theory I guess it shouldn't be that bad with any amount of budgeting. Just setting aside like a quater of what my current mortgage payment is I should be able to have enough at the end of the year to cover it. Right now it's all factored into my mortgage payment with escrow. Which is pretty frustrating on it's own to me because it means every year my mortgage payments go up almost $50 dollars monthly due to an escrow shortage....

If you aren't on Disability, consider applying to Amazon/UPS/FedEx. They hire a lot of people (anyone with a pulse) to work in their warehouses starting around now through Christmas and may keep you on longer/permanently. They should pay at least close to $20/HR and often make overtime mandatory. You could easily earn over $4,000 in just two months as long as you show up to work every day and try your best. I promise, once you are in the door they will find something for you to do.

If you can drive, Amazon may even hire you to drive around and do delivery.

I know you're autistic but lots of autistic people work in warehouse jobs. It might sound scary or overwhelming if you haven't worked in a long time or ever, but I believe these jobs are something almost any person can do for at least a couple of months. I've given you money before but I don't have any money right now and anyway it isn't a long-term solution, and you know that.

Message me if you have any questions about where & how to apply to any of these companies and I'll do my best to try to help you navigate that process and point you in the right direction.

We are on disability and get $2K per month

the problem is utility bills quickly eat through that and that includes paying for our phones

Had to pay a friend $800 to keep things going(not just for us but his whole family because he’s having money troubles himself and has been trying to move down here to escape the crazy cost of living at his previous home)

said he’s gonna get everybody on a much cheaper phone plan so we can all save some money

Which I really think is a good idea because there’s no way we can keep paying that alongside our other bills and food

not without my mom selling more stuff and I think she’s just about exhausted her options there so we probably wouldn’t get much

Which sucks cause she had to pawn off beloved guitars and she needs money we likely cannot come up with to buy them back

I can’t drive so my options are really limited  I’d have to either work from home or uber to work

that second option probably would eat up too mush money over time though

biggest problem is leaving my disabled mother alone for extended periods of time everyday doesn’t seem like a good idea

I’d need somebody volunteering to keep an eye on her while I’m working and nobody I know has  that much free time

If you or your mom receive Medicaid you might be able to get paid for being her caregiver. Worth checking out since you are taking care of her

Considering I live in Texas   I’m not expecting much though

tool seven years just to get that measly 2K monthly check

that should have been simple and they made it very annoying

they wanna cut all these programs so they can party and buy more yachts

I understand but the programs exist for now. Requirements probably are strict but these are desperate times.

you’re preaching to the choir. 2500 times a night I yell at my tv because my rep lies her ass off talking about programs aren’t going to be cut, ten seconds before they get cut off.

To think this wouldn’t be as stupid If our friend had not forgotten to help sort out the property tax issue like he said he would

instead he didn’t and we still gotta pay him monthly to keep our phones on

So we keep bailing him out all the time which gives us less money for ourselves  because otherwise we have no phones and then we’d be screwed
