Jman
Don’t think they expected that.
Toonamiguy321
Thank god. I don’t care if the reviews are good, I did not like the prospect of this clogging up a spot on an already very tight lineup. That said, are we sure it’s off the table? I’m pretty sure Zom 100 is on Netflix too
Sketch
It’s not off the table but it’s ultimately not DeMarco’s call if or where it airs. WBD selling the non-exclusive streaming rights only says one thing, they think they can get more eyeballs on it outside of Max. Who knows if Netflix really pushed to get it or WBD pushed to sell it. I’m just glad they’re doing something with it.

Glad it's getting more attention this year, but that likely means it won't be on Toonami this year. Maybe 2025 at the earliest.
MasqueradeOverture
Bc it was cancelled at Max https://variety.com/2024/tv/news/scavengers-reign-canceled-max-netflix-1235998046/ Quote "Scavengers Reign" has been canceled at Max, but all hope is not yet lost for the show. Beginning on May 31, Season 1 of the animated animated sci-fi drama will begin streaming on Netflix. The Netflix deal is non-exclusive, meaning the episodes will remain available on Max. Sources tell Variety that Netflix is considering picking up "Scavengers Reign" for a second season, but a decision won't be made until after Season 1's debut on the streamer. The series is set on an alien planet where a damaged interstellar freighter ship gets stranded and follows the remaining crew as they struggle to locate their ship and missing crewmates while navigating a hostile world that has thrived without human interference. So, Netflix once again is the last chance for relevancy. Warrior, a show I really like, is under the same “Do well on Netflix or else.”

Let's hope what happened to Zom 100 happens here, too.

Otakuninja9000
You know what??? Considering Netflix is basically the death of animation.... This show ain't coming back. Get the best rips of it as possible because this shit's getting written off. Also, y'all should start getting good rips of Ninja Kamui as well because I have a strange feeling it's gonna get written off too if the marathon's anything to go by.
PokeNirvash
And this is why I prefer anime's "season two confirmed!" approach to the West's "whoops, canceled after just one!"
Blatch
I'll give Warners this much: if this had happened a year ago, they probably would've cancelled and written off the show without saying a word. It'll be interesting to see if this will be their new strategy for shows that would otherwise be deleted forever. I mean, I imagine if the show isn't popular enough, they'll just write it off, but they also haven't written off anything recently, so... 10 hours ago, Otakuninja9000 said: You know what??? Housing Complex C hasn't been written off, and I don't think anyone would shed a tear if they did. You're being too pessimistic.
