I smell pizza….

See, I hate blue cheese, so I automatically think that sounds nasty. I've tried to like blue cheese, but I just couldn't do it. I've tried to eat several times and I always found that it would taste like a mixture of feet and an unwashed asshole. (Or what I think an unwashed asshole would taste like, anyway.)

Please, blue cheese is nothing. If you want a food that smells like rotten unwashed asshole, try natto.

I’m proud to report I had garlic chicken pizza tonight.

So… how much is the Pizza industry paying you to plant the suggestion/craving?! Jk

That sounds amazing.

They’re not paying me a dime. And if they were, I wouldn’t be at liberty to say. 😛

Converted another one. It's weird, it was just a spur of the moment when I first tried garlic chicken pizza, but since then I've recommended it to everyone, it's a simple combo, but it's delicious.

I don’t know if any pizza places around here sell it, but you better believe I’ll find it if they do. I’ve always loved garlic.

I've had chicken alfredo pizza from a couple places. Of course, my favorite pizza joint does it right, but Domino's also makes it and it was surprisingly pretty good.

I will admit, Domino's... when they nail it they nail it, and I generally hate the larger chains.

I'm admittedly okay with the larger chains because they're close by and can sometimes be cheaper than a mom and pop joint. But out of all of the national chains, Pizza Hut is my least favorite.

Yeah, I hear that, personally I thought they used to be good years ago, but they've been on a very steep decline for a good while now.

I quit eating Pizza Hut years ago because it was almost nothing but grease & hair (yes, you read that right). Now, I stick with Marco’s or Papa John’s.

Pizza Hutt is people!

In all seriousness, I noticed their steep decline about I'd say 2012-ish, that's where their quality standards dropped and from everything I've heard they've only become worse.

Domino's used to be like that, felt like the company stopped caring and now their suddenly, and arguably the best big chain.

Wow, this story is so wild.  And you are very brave. I have so many questions!  But I’ll only ask two:

(1) did you hang up the portrait?

(2) are you going to film something before you renovate?

By the way, I thought my house was old because it had the original toilet from the 1950s (super tiny).  But you got me beat haha.

xD I'll answer just about any question if I know the answer to it.

(1)  Oh I'm sure you already know the answer to that.  Of course I did.  This is kind of her house after all.  The parts were built in England in 1912 and then shipped to the States in 1915 as a wedding gift to her.  Also she may have kindly made me aware of her presence the first night I slept here, in which case we sort of "live" together.  So yeah I hung up the picture.  Plus I found an old trunk in the attic that had a whole ton of documents and adorable letters and birthday cards from her great grandkids to her so I sort of feel like I got to know them a bit.  The way they wrote back then was so eloquent.  The grandkids were in grade school writing with better vocabulary and grammar than most adults now.

(2) Nah I was just being funny about the music video.  I mean I might take before and after pics but it's all very slow going.  It's like every time I contemplate an improvement a pipe bursts or the foundation in the basement/garage starts to crumble that needs immediate attention.  Actually now that I think about it it's less like living in The Adams Family and more like living in The Money Pit.

Oh...I love my tiny toilet...I have one in what I presume was the water closet (it's under the main staircase)...I think I like it so much because I'm only 5' 1" xD

You betrayed the thread by not getting pizza! 🍕😂. Jk

It was the closest thing I had to pizza!  Tomato sauce, cheese and...a carb!  I did my best okay?  :LithiumSmileySad:  I even put mozzarella on it.

Oh...and here, I took a pic.

image.thumb.png.771321b088ce0fe767fc841293b0ddfe.png  Doesn't look it here, but it's quite large.  It's like a 4 x 3 foot frame.  Maybe I should've put something in for reference.

I'm sorry. Who's the portrait supposed to be of again? I must have missed it.

This is definitely true.  Domino's used to be the cardboard pizza.  Now it's not terrible.

It was a month or so back because my grandfather loves it. I was at his house at the time when he ordered it and invited me to have some. He likes getting supreme stuffed crust pizza. Again, I love supreme pizza, but I have to be in the mood for it. Luckily, I was in the mood for it. It was...meh.

Okay, Ms. Pizza Connoissuer, who's from one of America's Pizza Holy Lands. With your New Jersey water making tomato pies and such. I see ya.

(I'm totally kidding. I'm just in a silly mood. I would love to try authentic New York pizza.)

Weeeeeeeellllllll now here's where I confuse myself.  Because when I think of blue cheese I instinctually grimace because I'm reminded of times where I've accidentally eaten it when it was hidden in things or on a cracker at a party etc. and at those times I want to immediately bat it the fuck out of my mouth like I presume most people who've accidentally ingested rotten moldy food that is inconceivable both dry and wet at the same time would want to do.   HOWEVER!  I....kinda sorta maybe really enjoy....waldorf salads :LithiumSmileyIndifferent: ............................. :extremeindifferent:  soooooooo.....yeeeeeahsssss?

Lucky.

If I had my way, I'd just go to my favorite pizza joint in Houston whenever I wanted pizza. Unfortunately, they can get a little pricey. Also, gas ain't cheap right now.

That's right! Thanks. And I hope she's really nice.

Well her lineage seem nice from what I can tell.  I even met one of her great grandchildren.  They were here for somebody's funeral service and asked if they could come and see the house they used to live in.  I'm the first outsider of the three generations to own this house.

I'd go to mine in Jersey.  Uncle Frank's.  It's a mom and pops but not expensive, probably because they're the best around and have been since I can remember.

They may have been on Pizza Paradise a long time ago. Are they located in Atlantic City and make something called tomato pies? (Or is it called a Trenton pie?)

:LithiumSmileyLaugh: Idk what Trenton pizza is but I guess a pizza could be named after the capital of NJ...especially if it's a stabby stabby kind of pizza (ppl don't usually go to Trenton unless they have to).

Really?  Domino’s is OK now?  I remember it tasting like cardboard decades ago.  Maybe I’ll give it a try again (it’s closer to my house).

I like Round Table.  It’s the only chain pizza I get right now.

Also I still say “pizza! Pizza!” even tho I haven’t had Lil’ Caesars in forever.  😂

Oh they definitely did once use to taste like cardboard, but after that disaster that was the Oreo pizza, they pretty much revamped and rebranded.

Strangely enough, I actually prefer Little Caesars over Pizza Hut.

Dude….Little Caesars is the literal worst.

Sorry, but it’s true. 😛

Yeah, I'd probably lean to them being worse than Pizza Hutt.

Me and a few friends got a couple of their deep dishes once, and it was basically slathered in grease.

Yeah, but sometimes, when you need to save money wherever you can, Little Caesars is a decent option. Plus, it's kind of a cheap comfort food for me when I'm feeling down.

Absolutely. But I will also say the best pizza is the kind you can make from scratch yourself, which I've never done. I do plan to do that someday.

Really is a shame what happened to Pizza Hut. Their buffet used to be a family event.

The one respectable thing about Lil Caesar’s is how cheap that slop is. Even when they raised the price a bit, they still know their worth as opposed to these crusty ass joints thinking their pizza demands much more.

It's well worth it, I've made quite a few in my life (not recently, I keep saying I'll make one and keep pushing it back).

Best advice I'll always give, watch your topping ratio. I know that feeling when you want to cover a pizza with toppings, but this is definitely a case of too much ruins a good thing.

Fair enough. I just...I really love extra pepperoni and extra cheese. Still, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks.
