Happy Years

Name three years in your life that were the best/happiest/most good. Tell us why, or don’t!

2004: started a new job, started a fun relationship, then got the adult swim job in December. I was young, dumb, and full of etc.

(narrator: there were some awful years in between)

2015: married!

2022: it’s just been good! Y’all have seen pictures of the boy, he’s my favorite.

I realize it’s usually all schadenfreude and gallows humor here, but humor me.

2020 quit drinking

2021 was just a good year for me all around

2022 finally beat Bahamut Lufenia+ just to get wrecked by the new Shinryu difficulty

1997: I beat Chrono Trigger and unlocked New Game Plus, making it the first game I cared about legitimately beating.

2003: I took some theater courses in college, played some roles in our plays that made people laugh, and got flashed by five girls for chugging two pitchers of Mountain Dew after the final show we did.

2016: Had a hot asian girlfriend.

1976: the bicentennial was a fun year.

199-: I got proofed for cigarettes on my 35th birthday.

 2004: got a job at the library - getting paid for what I'd done for fun for years.

1986. for all intents and purposes the last year of my childhood. we lived about 5 miles from the beach. everyone I cared about was still alive. life was just good.

2000-2005 (couldn't pick one year) met future wife. grad school. started teaching. got married.

2020 (second half) didn't die from alcohol withdrawal. (got prescribed some lovely benzos to keep the seizures at bay) finally started putting that shit behind me.
