OwlChemist81
Interesting. So do we get Demon Slayer in the Midnight hour one week, Blade Runner the next, and then they take normal 30-minute timeslots back-to-back after that?
Sketch
Well I suppose it's not impossible that if they prioritize the dub of Demon Slayer, that it could start airing on Toonami by November 6th. FUNimation doesn't really have a bigger show to focus on this Fall and Aniplex has attempted simuldubs before. They might be able to manage being 2 weeks behind Japan and then Toonami can have it a few weeks later. That's a pretty tall order on multiple accounts though. I totally missed the mark with my November 6th and October 30th predictions, go figure. But let's say for whatever reason Demon Slayer is off the table for now. Here's another option and I'm going back to the old ToonZone way of formatting a Toonami schedule for this one. October 23rd 12:00 AM - Fena: Pirate Princess #12 (Finale) 12:30 AM - My Hero Academia #112 01:00 AM - YashaHime #16 01:30 AM - Food Wars #70 02:00 AM - Food Wars #71 02:30 AM - Naruto: Shippuden #360 03:00 AM - Dr. Stone #31 03:30 AM - Dragon Ball Super #31 October 30th 12:00 AM - Jujutsu Kaisen #1 12:30 AM - My Hero Academia #113 (Finale) 01:00 AM - YashaHime #17 01:30 AM - Food Wars #72 02:00 AM - MegaloBox 2: Nomad #1 02:30 AM - Naruto: Shippuden #361 03:00 AM - Dr. Stone #32 03:30 AM - Dragon Ball Super #32 November 6th 12:00 AM - Jujutsu Kaisen #2 12:30 AM - YashaHime #18 01:00 AM - YashaHime #19 01:30 AM - Food Wars #73 (Finale) 02:00 AM - MegaloBox 2: Nomad #2 02:30 AM - Naruto: Shippuden #362 03:00 AM - Dr. Stone #33 03:30 AM - Dragon Ball Super #33 November 13th 12:00 AM - Blade Runner: Black Lotus #1 12:30 AM - Blade Runner: Black Lotus #2 01:00 AM - Jujutsu Kaisen #3 01:30 AM - YashaHime #20 02:00 AM - MegaloBox 2: Nomad #2 02:30 AM - Naruto: Shippuden #363 03:00 AM - Dr. Stone #34 03:30 AM - Dragon Ball Super #34 November 20th 12:00 AM - Blade Runner: Black Lotus #3 12:30 AM - Jujutsu Kaisen #4 01:00 AM - Assassination Classroom #23 01:30 AM - YashaHime #21 02:00 AM - MegaloBox 2: Nomad #3 02:30 AM - Naruto: Shippuden #364 03:00 AM - Dr. Stone #35 (Finale) 03:30 AM - Dragon Ball Super #35 Edited October 8, 2021 by Sketch
OwlChemist81
Well, that's assuming Jujutsu and MegaloBox are ON the table, but alright. I suppose we could also see SSSS.Dynazenon! And don't forget Toonami might get an extra hour to play with on November 6th ([as] certainly does!) Ginguy
I'm glad to see a date for Blade Runner. I've been looking forward to that for a while now. I also have to admit I would like to see more Fena, so hopefully that will get another season.
DangerMouse
Nice, can't wait, super excited for this. Agreed, hope Fena gets more too later.
The1gairon
Toonami now has a ton of prospective and promised pick-ups they're planning to fulfill. They said they'd complete the rest of Assassination Classroom, as well as bringing Boruto back, althought neither of these have specific return dates. This season alone has Lupin III Part 6, Demon Slayper Season 2, and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 6! I look forward to which one will arrive first after Black Lotus. PokeNirvash
I wouldn't put that much faith in Boruto coming back after Kim Manning's comments about it skewing too young, let alone Stone Ocean making the block with its Netflix Original status. Here's to hoping Ass Class and Lupin Part 6 show up, though.
OwlChemist81
Yeah, JoJo Part 6 won't be showing up anytime soon. JoJo Part 7 might even be on Netflix before Part 6 airs on Toonami. This might be the singular event which finally convinces me to subscribe to Netflix after years of shunning the streaming giant. My thoughts on streaming are that it's great for catching stuff away from a TV, but it should NEVER have been used to keep originals off regular TV. Especially not monster sports events; the idea that the USMNT game was just on Paramount+ is just absurd, though to be fair I think it actually DID air on CBS Sports Network. But anyway, I prefer to do other stuff with the 'net besides just watching stuff. TV isn't good for very much else except maybe playing video games through a console. But then again I guess I'm just kinda old school. 🤷🏻♂️ Edited October 11, 2021 by OwlChemist81
DangerMouse
A little behind the scenes for Black Lotus, neat. Actual motion capture budget, nice. No wonder the movements are looking good (along with them actually allowing the frame rate to be smooth by not artificially slowing it down). Ginguy
I've watched the trailer three times now, I'm kinda hyped for Toonami this week, so much so that I am going to stay up and watch it live instead of watching it on DVR in the gap between the late Sunday FOX game and the Sunday Night NBC game.
