Tragic. And at $400 to replace, I guess the dream of a nearly-free chromebook might be dead. Ah well. Worth a try, never know when someone throws something out without even attempting repair.

If you're shopping online, look for data transfer speeds.  I'm not sure if specs like that would be listed on brick and mortar store boxes. Edit:Spelling
