quebecelegy Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 there's just something special about a ton of songs released back then for w/e reason i don't attribute it to me growing up with them, cause i didn't even listen to sp, mbv, or slowdive until this decade but knew right away that i was listening to something completley different and other-worldly. maybe im not looking hard enough but songs today lack that the closest we got to it was '09-'12, maybe '13, but that's stretching it.
bnmjy Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Whenever I hear that song, I think of the crazy serial killer in gta iv because it was playing when I met him.

Chapinator_X Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 The pop music from that decade is good for nostalgia, but some of my favorite music is rock and rap from the 90's. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness is high up on there
Distortedreasoning Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 rap was best in the 90s O0 :420: :brownbottle:

Codename: Jackass Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 As far as popular music goes I agree, but there's so much good music also coming out today.

Doom Metal Alchemist Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 For mainstream rock, 1990 - 1995 was pretty good, 1996-1999 was, as far as I'm concerned, the worst period in the history of mainstream rock music.
