Nice meme but no.

"Of course, the film wasn’t really filmed in the ocean. Rather, the water scenes were filmed in a giant pool known as a horizon tank which contained 17 million gallons of water. The tank is located in Mexico’s Baja studios. As well as holding a replica of the ship, the tank boasted views of what looked like the open ocean."

I mean I can't find large scale photos of what they used for close ups and the infamous 'this is why you never trust a bitch' scene, but no.. It definitely was not a fucking kiddie pool if any of the scenes were filmed in a 'pool'..

What?

Was she supposed to drown with his frozen corpse too and keep clasping on to it?  Would that have been good for you?

Would've been perfect for me actually, but maybe I'm just remembering that part wrong. I kind of remember him dying like halfway in the ocean not when she let go of his hand. I get the idea was to make it more romantic since he was willing to die to make sure she lived, but as someone that likes survival movies and the idea of a couple trying to make it together through things like that I thought it was a pretty stupid choice, and I'm not the only one that feels that way.  Including the friggin actress that played Rose herself.

She let him die... from hypothermia... in the middle of the North Atlantic... Yeah what a cold hearted hussy.

I'm going to handle @everyone here

The pool was for the intimate parts. You're not going to try and film the most emotional part of the movie in a giant pool. That's just for when they need all the extras and special effects.

They filmed their 1on1 in a kiddie pool in a quiet little room and thats that

And if Jack got on the door too it would've weigh it down putting it partially underwater. Rose and himself would be able to float but would be wet the entire time possibly wet enough to freeze them both even. She only survived bc she had the door to herself and was able to dry off. Even if they both could've made it being somewhat wet on the door, Rose had a much better chance of surviving if she able to be completely dry. It was a legit sacrifice he made and VERY heroic and romantic.

Poof you are suppose to be an actress.. Still you can't see how that kiddie pool is not going to be decent for movie work even filming close ups? Idk you could be right , but then wheres the fucking proof? I was just trying to defend a movie I found mostly boring anyway by posting actual movie set and filming work that was done..Some of which was done in like a standard gymnasiuml pool, BUT NOT A FUCKING BLOW UP WALMART KIDDIE POOL ROFL..If they did do that and I didn't know sure that's funny...

but I feel the need to post this again. I'll have you know I remember my parents buying the box set with directors cuts, and behind the scenes filming.. including the scenes they did in this pool below which still isn't a fucking  kiddie pool. 🤣

That weird guy staring at Kate and L Decap. was the director or some guy they were both making fun of for being so serious in their one on one interviews or whatever it was.. I vaguely remember both of those actors saying something like..."There's this weird forreign accent guy in the background telling us to do better when we werent even good swimmers or used to being in the water for so long" or some shit..

Probably just for some quick takes. I am an actress so I know you go back and do weird things. In one of my scenes they forgot to do a transition shot so we went back at the end and we werent even having sex and director was like bounce like youre having sex. And she leaned in on the bed just out of frame over us and pushed on it up and down bc we werent moving it enough i guess

Hmm I'm not trying to call you out I just don't remember a kidde pool being used at all you know. That meme is still Highly Suspect though even if there was some "Oh shit fix this fast no time for booking places or...literally anything if they used a pool like that..Gotta remember I am a camera guy..Maybe not a movie camera guy, but I know frames, angles res...and that kiddie pool looks like it'd make anybody holding movie set cameras rage quit pretty easy is why I'm going on. "Production CAN'T do better than that for fucking Titanic?"--me "Hey Camera whatever you are just film the shit, and we'll edit it out later!!!"--Production.  Camera guy whatevah: "Fuck it good luck I guess."  :|
