all these cartoons seem to do that and it throws me off. i never used to look at batman as being the progenitor of all these superheroes, but whenever they give someone an origin story, they have to throw in the fact that batman is already established. personlly i alwys figurd superman was older. is it just that people think that, if he existed in a world that already had superheroes, bruce wayne woudn't have bthered becoming batman?

It's like any holiday special has to mention Christmas at some point!

so i heard the toonami intro tonight mentioned the regular line up returning to next week 0_o

was this planned before the bebop marathon was even announced?

Probably.

still seems weird to tell people "Tune in next week for the normal line up" only for them to be smacked in the face with a bebop marathon

that probably won't get a promo until several days from now when the toonami viewing audience isn't looking

i think that's just because DC Comics most popular character by far is batman and nobody else can touch his popularity

this isn't like marvel where characters can share the spotlight and you don't just see spider-man invading other character's stories all the time

however that isn't case for dc they see batman as the default mascot of dc and the only character that matters

The main thing that keeps Wonder Woman from actually being good... lack of a good nemesis.

Superman has Luthor and Darkseid.

Batman has the Joker.

Who does Wonder Woman have again? Cheetarah?

gah, i tried to find that comic page from a few years ago where Diana chastises Batman by saying something like

"you know why i don't have a big, recurring rogues gallery? because when I put my bad guys down, THEY STAY DOWN."

but google sucks

Reminds me, they should do Batman/Superman: Apocalypse, liked that one quite a bit with the Supergirl origin story.

That one is a lot better than this. They gave us the leftovers.

Also any of the Suicide Squad animated movies.

so, obviously, it'l turne out that mom's death was some sort of orchestrated thing, since she didn't get hit with a ricochet or a stray shot

Eh I think she's dead. We'll see.

do you think this event will result in the massive increase of hbo max subscribers AT&T is hoping for?

I think they're just doing this to promote their new WW movie.

not sure i like the idea of wonder woman as a government agent, but then again the linda carter series sort of went that route didn't it?

I mean I'm a local government agent, and yet still kind of a rebel, so I guess it CAN be done?
