GuyBeardmane Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 Candace Parker plays in the WNBA, and I'm not even a professional athlete. See the joke I'm making is that she's out of my league because she's in a professional sports league that I'm not in.
Greeny Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 You still have a better chance of getting into the NBA than she does.

GuyBeardmane Posted September 26, 2019 Author Posted September 26, 2019 Just now, nameraka said: I don't get it. It's a play on words, see. The phrase "out of my league" typically implies that someone is either too attractive to date the speaker or otherwise well overqualified for a job or other situation. In THIS instance, though, I decided to apply the term more literally than figuratively by posting a picture of someone who is in a professional sports league while I am not in the league. Thus, she is "out of my league." I mean in the figurative sense too it still applies, however the literal interpretation was the point of the joke.
