Skiles
I don't disagree. It gets the benefit of the doubt often times, because people who grew up with it seem to be more loudly nostalgic about things in general. I think that was the first generation that was nostalgic on the internet. I might be wrong. However, there is still a lot of good shit on SNES. And it was innovative for its time in myriad ways.
André Toulon
SNES is arguably the most perfect system to exist given its time or release. It's library is near flawless. No system had a stronger launch.

I agree with this some what.. At the time I think Sega might've had it beat with the genesis , and the saturn in some aspects. I owned both the sega genesis, and a super nintendo when I was younger so I got to see the best of both worlds. Aside from the first sonic games, and some good arcade fighters most of the plethora of games I had for sega were pretty stale though, and I loved DK country. Everybody had a Mario game or two so there's that, F zero, Earthbound... I didn't really get into Zelda much in those days, but honestly Nintendo just had a way better assortment of esteemed titles. Doom Metal Alchemist
All I'm really familiar with are NES, SNES, and N64. SNES was by far the best of the three, as far as I'm concerned. Super Mario World, Earthworm Jim 1 and 2, Final Fantasy IV and VI, A Link to the Past, Super Mario Kart, Super Metroid, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, home ports of Mortal Kombat 1 and 2 and Street Fighter II (and Turbo), Super Castlevania 4, Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2 (never played 3), Mega Man X 1 and 2 (never played 3).... Just stomps all over NES and N64 imo.
PhilosipherStoned
I miss Starfox 64. Conkers Bad fur Day, and a lot of the big Nintendo title sequels that came out for N64 though honestly.. I didn't know we were trying to compare the SNES to later more powerful consoles.. It's only nostalgia that can make someone say it's better than next gen consoles lol.
