bnmjy
With little understanding of AIDS and toxic shock syndrome at the time, do you think some women experiencing toxic shock syndrome thought they got da AIDS when all they needed to do was remove their maxi pads from their hoohas? Retarded food for thought.

Tampons are worn up inside the vagina and pose a risk of TSS because they catch the blood and it stays in the vagina thus creating a warm, hospitable environment for the TSS bacteria to grow and thrive. Technically, tampons really aren’t safe but they are so convenient. Personally, when I was menstruating I preferred maxi pads and would wear a tampon if I went swimming or something. Anytway, any more questions, feel free to ask. lol

Vamped
Doubt it. Everybody was probably too busy convincing themselves AIDS only happens to gay men.

Also, it was discontinued in 1980, and AIDS wasn't discovered until 1981. So my scenario was impossible. The more you know, I guess.
