As often as they brought up "Pig and Elephant DNA just won't splice", I kept thinking it was a parody of some song or singer.  I tried googling it back then, but never found anything.

I hate South Park. I don't think I've ever watched a full episode, even though I had a friend who would always talk about it. Also, elephants and pigs can't procreate, Mr. Scientist.

Well if I recall correctly, the episode kept attributing that song to Loverboy, which was a real band.
