Guest The Hound Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 I like Gran Turismo. Used to. Then Forza got things really right.
Codename: Jackass Posted February 7, 2017 Author Posted February 7, 2017 I grew up playing 1 and 3 so it's close to my heart. Also I'm borrowing a friend's PlayStation so no Forza right now.
Guest The Hound Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 Word. I got used to the way cars grip in Forza. I play with everything off except the brake line and even steering on simulation. IIRC I think new GT games have "steering" by default (and locked in)set to simulation. There's no middle ground so if you jerk the control back and fourth too quickly you'll spin out. IN FORZA you can throw the car into a drift. I can't pick up a controller and play GT and do what I can do in Forza for some reason because of this.

I don't really have too much trouble powersliding but the tires on the car are everything.
Codename: Jackass Posted February 7, 2017 Author Posted February 7, 2017 do you like japanese animation? 私はひきこもりのためにこれらの漫画を見ない。
Codename: Jackass Posted February 7, 2017 Author Posted February 7, 2017 I guarantee these moon runes I just posted will not translate into what I was trying to say. Good luck deciphering.
Codename: Jackass Posted February 7, 2017 Author Posted February 7, 2017 lol I was thinking about that the other day. I wish they'd still do that after passing a license test.
Chapinator_X Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 I got frustrated with the license test BS in the these games, but with Gran Turismo 4, I couldn't be mad when the game decided to choose this goofy song as the theme music for failing them.
Codename: Jackass Posted February 7, 2017 Author Posted February 7, 2017 I never really minded the license tests. I'd usually get my B, do all those races, and then repeat for the other licenses. It got really frustrating when I could never get gold in all of the events.
Codename: Jackass Posted February 7, 2017 Author Posted February 7, 2017 I didn't have that kind of completionist attitude as a kid. I'd finish all the championships and buy/unlock all the cars I wanted and then play something else for three months.
Rogue_Alphonse Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 The Playstation and Gran Turismo is what steered me away from being a gamer, but not in a bad way. I just got really good at racing games and faded away from shooters.

I always gravitated toward sports, adventure, fighting, that stuff.
