I mean ..... the stream hasn't really been good as of late, only airing 5 episodes over and over again, only switching to another show per week. It was better, AND worth following, when they used to run the previous week's entire line-up from the block, but yeah, this only reiterates why I hate #money.

As long as they're still streaming individual episodes and they lead-in to each other, really, nothing of value was lost.

My reliance on my DVR was already quite high, but problem: I might be losing that soon too...

And suddenly, it's day again.

I never really cared about the marathon stream and I didn't know why anyone would rely on it to watch shows, but I guess I'm... forced to be sad that it's over? Sounds good.

It's not exactly clear how this will affect individual streaming episodes. It sounds from the post like they may lose that too, but they don't directly say it.

I wonder if there will be a big announcement from VRV that Adult Swim is coming to their platform and streaming both a simulcast and individual episodes soon?

If so, I may cut the cord. Damn near broke anyways.

That would be huge.

But it also feels like it would run counter to DeMarco’s entire stated purpose for Toonami the age of Netflix.

Toonami establishing a presence on VRV would be a good long-term goal to achieve, and I'd be completely in favor of it. There's a good number of shows they can be the exclusive streaming for, as well as even all the TOM-centric goodies like speeches and game reviews the block has done over the years.

Well, that's one less thing for @OwlChemist81 to talk to himself about.

Not sure most people really cared about this.  And as long as they are still putting up in the individual episodes to watch on the website and on to watch On-Demand on your cable box, no loss.

No one is going to watch Toonami stuff by itself and many viewers would probably get annoyed if it were attached to episode videos.  The best they could probably get by with is having a branded Toonami collection, but not sure what the point would be.

Demarco has mentioned that a Warner Over-the-top Service is coming.  Again it would be the same conundrum having Toonami there.  And as I have talked about before, everyone starting their own streaming service misses the point and defeats the purpose of things like Netflix and Hulu.  That being their massive selection and libraries.  I'm not going to sign up for something just to watch one show.  You'd also eventually be nickel and diming yourself back up to a full cable bill if you signed up for enough of them.  Cable and satellite companies are not doing themselves any favors with their refusal to change their business model and pricing, though.  The current situation with streaming may be the closest we get to a la carte model if cable and satellite never do it.

I was maintaining an archive, a history. But I guess once it's gone, it won't matter.
