MegaNaraku Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 But the only career paths that catch my interest is space science(Astronomy and Astrophysicist) and mortuary science(Funeral Director/Embalmer). But both I have heard are quite hard to even get now.. I just wouldn't want to spend years for a degree, just to have a really hard time getting a job as is in that field.. Hmm... bleh
CAC Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 I did a two year course for CAD, got a job right out of school. I could go back for something else and my work would cover it, but I really hate school....
Bouvre Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 If you do space science, it's difficult to imagine its application beyond research-related fields (though I'm no expert, and as somebody who can defend an English degree, there are people who can talk up the qualities of that degree I'm sure). However, speaking as the person who edits a ton of science grants, it would be badass as fuck to get your masters/Ph.D in a space science. Ironically enough, however, I don't imagine mortuary science being a dead practice, or one with little demand. (Again, I have no basis for that claim, other than the fact that everybody dies.)
Bouvre Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 I see no reason why you couldn't combine the two This sounds like an even weirder, campier revamp of "Solaris" and I am all for it.
Naraku4656 Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 i've thought about going for my masters but its expensive
Vamped Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 I fucking hate math so ... I wouldn't but ... there's always teaching
MegaNaraku Posted January 25, 2017 Author Posted January 25, 2017 This sounds like an even weirder, campier revamp of "Solaris" and I am all for it. It does sound pretty badass And yeah, space science I'm "eh" over. Just afraid It will be too tough getting a job after so much school and whatnot
