Hard drives are still the primary medium on the market, because of their gigantic capacites at cheap prices.

The downside to them is that they have a definite shelf life (only about 7-12 years, if installed and used correctly), so it's inevitable that you'll have to replace them eventually. Also, they lack in speed compared to flash storage.

Even with SSDs, you'll have to replace them eventually, as they only have so many read/write cycles to them. We haven't found a definite shelf life to them yet, so they are the medium of the future.

I was more upset about losing my Dark Souls II game files than paying to get it fixed. I had to start all over. but at least I know how to make myself OP early now.

I never got on the Dark Souls games. Demon Souls was tough enough, still haven't beaten it and it's been nearly ten years, and I need to get my PS3 repaired because it caught the yellow light of death three months ago.

Well let's see, Demon's Souls was probably the best PS3 game of 2009, the worst era of video games honestly, and it was hard af, so I know the Dark Souls games are gonna get me.mad too, I almost did steal Dark Souls from.Best buy a few years ago and it was on clearance too lol guess I just got worried because that Best Buy has like 100 cameras and they added the security thing where even if you take off all the wrapping if the game isn't scanned at a register it'll beep loudly at the exit.

I agree. Demon's Souls was one of the best PS3 games of all time IMO. and I play Dark Souls cuz most games are too easy for me but once you get used to the mechanics its not that bad

Yeah I could dig it, I could probably master it, but obviously we're talking NES level difficulty when we talk about these games. I like mostly moderately hard games, but I love easy games too (Mario games since Super Mario World, Odyssey on Switch is cake)

If I got my PS3 repaired tomorrow and just zeroed in and popped in Demon's Souls and bought Dark Souls and DS II, I'd honestly have to take an entire year to beat all of them. That's kinda intimidating to me

in DS II you can skip most of the game and beat it. but you'd have to fight one of the harder bosses at a low lvl to do it

I used those drives at where I used to work. LaCie drive are fucking amazing. We literally oiled one up and surfed on it. Still read like a champ.

Yeah, we use their burners to produce stuff for legal.  Our friggin' IT - we requested new laptops with burners and burning software.  They put burning software on the laptops with readers.  Called them about it & "oh, we missed that part of the request"...yeah, but you were stupid enough to give me the burning software anyway?"

Oh corporate IT........in my previous life....they were the reason I could do my job so effectively back in the day. They had all the access. When I say "all the access," I mean....ALL. The. ACCESS. Put in a request from someone who doesn't exist, and BAM, all the tools and credentials I need to own you.
