I graduate on Saturday.

I am getting my Bachelor's in Social Work, and I have to do so with crutches. I'm ready to get it over with. I'm only doing it so I can get the degree in my hands instead of waiting weeks to get it in the mail.

Then the hunt for a new job begins.

They actually give you your degree?  Most schools just give you the degree holder only and mail the degree once they've verified your final grades are posted and your application for graduation is approved.

Yeah, they do give us our final degrees. When I graduated at the same college five years ago, they gave me mine on the day of graduation. Unless that has changed, I should receive it then too.

I don't know what happens to those who don't make the grades, though. Fortunately, I won't have to worry about that.

Congratulations, I got my degree via FedEx like 3 months after the ceremony .... and I'm going back for  MSW because I cant  do anything worth while with a BSW

But you gotta admit, it sure looks nice in that frame over the kitchen table and that piping hot bowl of campbell's soup.

As it should be.

Nah, I have mine framed, but that's neither here nor there because I don't make a living based specifically on what I got my degree on.  It's more of a golden ticket to being part of an exclusive social club.  (Or at least it better be, given the $100k it cost to get it.)
