I wish we could know more about the history and back story of this world.  We have hints and ideas but not really the full picture.

That lady is really dumb.

Those prosthetic body requirements are bullshit.

This bit's depressing....

C'mon Togusa, you should have known better than this.

Especially Since she left her bag behind.

Agreed

That doesn't sound right.  Usually the eps wrap up with the perps being brought to justice.  So they got away this time?

It was the Government doing the "excavation" of the nuclear site. The exposed film that Togusa was given by the reporter as evidence was actually a radiation badge.

I got that part, but I thought it was an electric company.  And the way Togusa and Aramaki were talking made it sound like the company was being busted, since they figured everything out.  So the government is really that evil?

It ends up being the Ministry of Energy and it eventually ties into Gouda and Kuze.

edit: Gouda actually works within the government as well, specifically intelligence.

The Energy Ministry was doing the actual excavation off the books (hence the off the books labor) and, while we don't know why they were doing it by the end of this episode, from future events you can confirm your suspicions that the men in black are Gouda's men eliminating witnesses.

Oh, so it wasn't a single episode deal.  Thanks guys. :D

For a minute I wondered if the rando on the platform was her hubby who managed to fake his death and she ran off with him. :D Couldn't remember. :D
