I knew it had something to do with farming but figured it didn't matter much nowadats given new technology.  So it's even more useless than I thought.  I think I also heard something about kids getting on the bus in the dark or something.  But yeah we need to stop with it.

It was actually opposed by farmers. It was invented by New Zealand and came to the US based on political bullshit pandering that helped no one. The whole concept is a quagmire with no benefits that quickly became a political talking point used to garner votes.

The refugees have been there 20 years?  And they're still not citizens?

Major shaken up.  You don't see that often.  And she says she knows Kuze?

I'm as confused as that guy as why Kuze would help the refugees.

That harbor is quite the impressive megastructure.  It's huge!  That's a loooooot of concrete.

Why the hell did they think it was a good idea to engage Section 9?  Kuze even warned them off doing it.

Major screwed up bad.  Very out of the ordinary for her.  And they lost one of their rookies!

Whaaaat he's not there?  Completely different boat!  But, he was talking to those guys?

Very, very odd.  I had no idea.  I guess it's just one of those archaic laws that's been on the books forever that nobody ever did anything about, like the sodomy laws or being able to rent a hotel room for your horse.  We need to get rid of this one though!

Wet nightmare? What the hell is that? When you get scared to death and still soak the sheets!?

I don't even know how it's possible except for in-dream Stockholm Syndrome!

Goda is an ass though!

Lots of people seemingly get off on ranting and raving on things that offend, outrage, or scare them.  A guy like Goda in the government is right up Alex Jones' alley.

Yes, because Alex Jones is known for hating "pro-war/anti-immigrant" people.  9_9

Mainly was just getting at the fact that Goda is doing all kinds of shady manipulative stuff behind the scenes in the government, which is Alex Jones' bread and butter.

I wouldn't read all of it yet since there's still a bunch we haven't seen yet in the remaining couple of episodes, but after the season's over it's worth checking out the Wikia since it gathered together all of the info we get from the various flashbacks and information gathering by Section 9 revealed over the course of the various episodes in more chronological order. :)

Alex Jones' "bread and butter" is creating conspiracies centered around the Democratic Party.  According to him, Democrats are every horror story and nightmare ever devised and Republicans are as clean as a whistle.

Cool.  I'll probably check it out after the show is over. :)

I haven't followed him that closely since the guy is batshit.  I do know he's all about conspiracy theories, especially those involving the government.  But given he thinks 9/11 is an inside job, he probably doesn't think Republicans are clean as a whistle.

these subtitles resemble closed captioning for the English audio far more than subtitles for the Japanese audio. honestly makes it pretty difficult to watch, but I guess it makes sense considering when this show was licensed and the fact that the rights have never re-sold to another company like Funimation, etc.

Yeah, I wonder if that might even be what they had to create them from.
