Well, as a clownfish, Nemo's dad would change into the female sex and when Nemo reached maturity, they would procreate. Clown fish change sex a lot. Science. Mix Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 yup. They're all born male. If the female of the anemone dies, the dominant male will turn into a female & mate w/the next most dominate male. So w/the female of the anemone gone & only juvenile Nemo & his dad remaining, it's pretty much a certainty that dad fish would transition & mate w/Nemo once he matured since he's the only other remaining clownfish of their anemone. I don't think that movie makes a billion dollars, but it would certainly leave an impression...
