Thanks for spoiling that for me.. but that sounds insane. Yeah digimon has always been pretty dark for a kids show

I remember some of the deaths being pretty sad and wtf I mean back in season one I don't think any of the kids

knew digimon were reborn either.

honestly this doesn't shock me that much

having seen Digimon Tamers

Is there a good place to watch digimon tri on the web. I havent even looked at it..

After seeing what they were coming up with recently... "Appmon" I just... kinda lost hope for digimon.

maybe that's why Digimon Adventure Tri has a "everyone dies" plot

also I don't know where to watch it, someone was streaming it while drawing during a Picarto stream which is how I watched it

Well man that doesn't surprise me in the least.. That guy that made the video I just posted was the

"celebrity guild leader" we had in place in my english guild for Digimon Masters Online.. We're

both kind of old geezers now when it comes to the digimon fandom. I always hate that it struggled

to outshine pokemon with the masses even though the way the writers and artists tried to take it

it was completely seperate...

Honestly, I feel that a lot more effort was put into the Digimon anime than most series based on toys. You have Pokemon with Ash Ketchum and the "Monster of the Week" format. Then you have this show, which explores fairly adult issues such as death. I think Matt's parents were going through a divorce at the time, which is why he was so hardened at times. I can appreciate such storytelling because it feels genuine. It's not a perfect setting by any means, as each character has a personal obstacle that they must learn to overcome.

While Pokemon was the funnier and breezier franchise as a whole, Digimon was arguably the witter and more mature of the 2 anime adaptions. After all, you don't really see them discuss things such as overcoming loss, race and parental issues in Pokemon like they did in Digimon.
