  8. Maybe. Or to your Knicks w Kyrie. Or the Nets with ??? Somewhere random. Idk.
  9. Also, Canadians. Canadians love paying cash for some reason. I guess they take a ton of cash out for their international vacation to Florida.
  10. You do need a cc to reserve it but most don't authorize the cc for any amount until you check in, so you can switch cc's or pay cash. Most people don't pay cash but sometimes people's banks are overprotective and lock their shit down when they're out of town or they get their identity stolen while on vacation, so people are forced to pay cash. People in those situations and sketchy locals are the only people who tend to pay cash for a hotel room.
  11. The one I stayed at the night before took a $300 cash deposit bc I was paying cash, I was cool with that bc of course I understand that people fuck up rooms and take shit. This one said they wouldn't accept cash under any circumstances. I told them about the deposit policy of the hotel I was in the night before, same hotel chain, and offered a $500 deposit, again I'm there on the employee rate, they still refused - no cash payment under any circumstances, they said. I had to tell them to call the GM bc they were stonewalling me, and after a five minute convo they let me pay cash w no deposit. I get requiring a cc for incidentals. But even my hotel only authorizes that for $1 so we know there's at least something on it, we don't tie up hundreds of dollars on their card after they pay us almost $200 in cash for a room for one night. Refusing cash paying guests is not a normal hotel policy. I'll let sawdz speak to the legality of it, it seems like at least a gray area to me if not outright technically illegal
  12. I still don't understand how hotels can legally say they don't accept cash, even if you have a valid cc for incidentals. One hotel in OKC was giving me so much trouble even though I was there on an employee rate bc I work for the same chain. They had to call the mgr to greenlight it. I had about a thousand in cash and almost nothing on my card, they were trying to say they don't even take cash security deposits, ONLY credit card payments. Seemed illegal as all hell. Discrimination, you know? I don't know.

  19. Oh in that case I will recommend (looking at a map of the zip codes eligible for the free $15k) the counties I would otherwise tell you to stay all the away from - Rhea, McMinn, Meigs counties, which are the shitholes to end all shitholes but at least they're close to the two best big cities Knox and Chat, and far away from the two worst Nash and Memphis. So u can stay home all the time but still be close to some occasional cool idk shows or whatever ur into w/out the bullshit traffic Athens Niota Sweetwater area looks like straight Middle Earth in some places, w probably a lot of spooky old meth houses to choose from Idk anything about the ones bordering KY or out west but in my head it generally gets cooler from west to east. My long term plan for like my 40s-retirement is to eventually plop a storage container down on the land of whichever one of my friend's dads dies first and just live in that

    Good girls

You just can't help it w those dogs. I had to put mine down last week and will still be finding her hair in all of my clothes and future vehicles for the next decade. They are worth every itch
  22. I started a new job a couple months ago. New boss is awesome. I hated my last boss/es they were garbage people, just as people. I didn't interact w them much, but everyone who did hated them bc they are garbage people and garbage bosses. Crazy what a difference it makes just in terms of your general motivation and give a fuck and attitude. New boss starts me off at more money than I would ever feel comfortable asking or hoping for, ie a living wage, shares his nice weed w me at the end of shifts, holds normal views about the world, good to talk to, and by every account a decent person in general. Literally ready to lay down my life for the business. As you said, work the fuck out the job. Just bc garbage incarnate is not at the helm
  23. I was going to say that Culleoka is a bigger shithole than most of the shitholes in TN but I figured u knew that already.
