I was just discussing this with someone on the boards a week or two ago, that was recommending the show and I was thinking of checking it out. How it's from the Soul Eater creator and is pretty good. I had also seen a Youtuber I'm subscribed to uploaded the ED and I liked how the character in the thumbnail looked. I didn't realize it was actually about fire fighters. I wonder if that's a topic difficult to keep interesting in a shonen. I will be curious to see. Instead of Chicago Fire, we have Tokyo Fire, eh? The fact that Fire Force was negotiated down to the wire is... not a good sign. They should have plans and plan Bs, Cs, and Ds well ahead of time. They know when shows are ending. Yet they constantly get caught unawares with their pants down? And given the show isn't coming til next week and couldn't come this week, it most likely is not one of the four mystery shows announced at that convention, unless there was a snafu in the negotiations and they somehow recovered them just now. I have a feeling Demarco is no Roger Smith, though. There was also a tweet from Toonami Squad that claimed they have INSIDE SOURCES close to Williams Street that say Toonami is reportedly planning to premiere a new show, but plans could change. Is Toonami Squad the Dave Meltzer of Toonami news? And, ah, yeah, the fire at Kyoto Animation. Terrible timing for this. There's only 3 episodes in in Japan, (and 3 was postponed?) so this would be a great near-to-Japan release otherwise, but that is going to be problematic. I suppose we'll have to wait and see what happens. Did they say if the anime was going to postponed more than just that one week? And I really hope there's not any arsonists in the series, at least not early on.

What was that he was saying about Origin moving to 1? Looks like people with actual business acumen slapped down Demarco's attempt to Gundam to a more prominent spot! They did not plan on this, obviously, but rerunning that Attack on Titan episode is actually perfect timing. I mentioned before that the uber reveal mega infodump would almost require a re-watching, and now we don't have to go watch it on our own and can just re-watch it together on the block! Can discuss and ask questions among each other too, about the information we learned. My Hero Academia sadly stays where it is. Laughing my ass off that Demarco tried to promote Gundam instead of My Hero Academia. He told Sketchor on Twitter that was going to try to talk the people responsible to see about moving it back... then he went on vacation. Yep he was real serious about that. I'm sure he got right on it. The fact that Fire Force was negotiated down to the wire is... not a good sign. They should have plans and plan Bs, Cs, and Ds well ahead of time. Black Clover Page 79 Discussion Last time on Black Clover, Asta, Xerxe, and Mimosa faced off against the team of Kirsch, Sol, and Magna. Well, sort of. After Kirsch found out that Magna is a noble, he rushed off on his own to face the Asta's team. Asta managed to invoke and even improve his new demonic sword technique, and canceled out Kirsch's entire Area of Effect cherry blossom spell and dispelled the Kirsch clones. Asta then lured Kirsch into a trap, where Xerxe had laid several of his trap spells. Kirsh sensed them and tripped them, avoiding them, but fell for a good old fashioned trap hole, dug by hand by Asta and Xerxe. The unlikely and reluctant alliance managed to take out Kirsch, at least for now. But there's still Sol and Magna to deal with. How will the rest of the fight go? Find out tonight, on Black Clover, on Toonami!

Yeah but I'm not gonna look up a voice actor in the middle of a show. -
I think he already had all his skills all along. We've seen as much. The outfit is just to psych him up I think. Though I'm not sure how he was able to access it.

attack on titan Attack on Titan Episode 56 Discussion

I think even more confirmed after last episode lol. Continued discussion on those other shows - -
Oh I wouldn't doubt Reki is pandering to yaoi shippers. He's pandered to just about everything else. I didn't know about the voice actors doing that though. I mean I guess there is no harm in it? Plus they would look really bad if they shat on the pairing. I highly doubt any gay relationship between the two would actually happen anyway. Because even if Eugeo is bi, which I'm not sure of, I'm almost certain Kirito isn't, and both already have Alice, and Asuna, respectively. I think this arc would also have been written before he got criticism on various things that he then said he would try to do better on. So if something got handled poorly in that area it's already set in stone and would be before any backlash. Maybe there was backlash in Japan or the U.S. from light novel readers and I just don't know about it. But I don't know any spoilers and don't want to know any. From what I hear about the new arc Reki is writing, it definitely sounds like he listened to the other known criticism, though.

https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=7109 It's Karen Strassman. She played Soifon, and the other bitchy character was Kallen from Code Geass. I didn't remember that she also played Momo in Bleach! And she's also playing Casval in Origin! So she has range outside of the bitchy voice lmao.

My first Blu-Ray was Wreck-it Ralph (which I came out in 2012?!), which I wasn't able to watch til I got a PS3 way far into its lifespan. I sure as hell wasn't going to get the 600 dollar one. I got a 360 instead... many of which years I played on a CRT, which I only got rid after it fell face first on the floor right after we moved one time, because it was sitting on a flimsy-ass table. The screen didn't shatter but the picture was reduced to a skinny horizontal line going across the screen. I had to get an HDTV then because they didn't make those old TVs anymore. Way back when I was basically made to get a cellphone. I was like "we have free long distance why do I need a cellphone LOLOLOLO." Of course it was a flip phone at first, but later I had a Blackberry. To replace that, I didn't want to use a touch screen so I had to get a phone that had a slide out keyboard (but I think it had a touch screen too.) Later on I basically had to get a full touch screen phone because that's all there was and went with Samsung Galaxy S5... which I'm still using. I really do need and WANT to upgrade this phone though. I was recording stuff on VHS well into the 2000s, Toonami, AS, various other stuff. I stopped doing it because I didn't want to watch, much less record SD stuff on my HDTV, so I finally got a DVR. But I haven't come anywhere close to replacing my VHS movie and TV show collection on DVD, much less gotten Blu-Rays of all the DVDs. And now with everything streamable it's not as big of a deal. I would definitely prefer to own a lot of my favorites on Blu-Ray or something of course but it's also a matter of cost. I'm also worried about some movies and TV shows being lost to history because they didn't get put on DVD or Blu-Ray. If videogames go fully digital that will be terrible for gaming for a whole host of reasons. But yeah as tech savvy as I am, I am also set in my ways and routines and don't like to change my stuff, but part of it is also affordability! And don't get me started on 4K! Human eyes can't even see it without a ridiculously huge TV!

So are DVDs cheaper to make than Blu-Rays or something? I've been getting the Star Wars movies by pre-ordering through Disney's website where you get the Blu-Ray, DVD, and digital combo pack, and a set of lithographs. But they stopped including the DVDs. The Last Jedi and Solon don't have them. MY COLLECTION IS NOW INCONSISTENT AND INCOMPLETE! I think you have to get some other retailer exclusive to get the DVD now. Not sure if you can even buy it on it's own. If Disney is stopping the DVDs in their combo packs then you know the format is really being phased out. That makes it come off like it's not worth it to make DVDs anymore!

I agree with you that it's ugly. Also if all mechas in anime are gonna be CG now I'd rather they just not bother. It takes you out of it because a lot of times it doesn't even blend in with the rest of the art and animation. And the mechas themselves often just don't look as good in my opinion. I'm not a huge fan of Gundam and not even particularly a fan of the mecha designs themselves for that franchise, but I was still disappointed to see the CG for the mechas in Origin. But, this whole show is ugly cel-shaded CG.

Oh ok. Ehh, maybe give ThunderCats a shot. I like it a lot and I'm not the only one. They got fucked out of a season 2 though, so there's that. I had no interest in Gotham. I have seen a few episodes since my friend was watching it. I don't see the point of watching a Batman show without Batman. It's like Agents of SHIELD that I dropped after the pilot. Just a Marvel-flavored cop show. No superheroes. Beware the Batman was pretty bad. Batman, Batman Returns, The Animated Series, and the Nolan trilogy are all sitting there waiting. I'm surprised you didn't get into Batman as a kid.

Guess not lmao. They both wear their hair up. Both blondes. Their faces aren't drawn that differently either. I was going to say at least Crowley has green eyes instead of blue, but they're blue in the pictures you posted, so not sure how I saw that wrong. They look even more alike than I thought, then! It's one thing for anime characters to alike, but it's usually not 2 in the same series, much less appearing at the same time together in an arc! -
Oh I see. I seem to remember SAO2 getting here faster though but I could be wrong. We'll have to wait and see what happens.

HBO is part of Warner? We never had the actual HBO channel. Too expensive, and those premium channels were usually much better during the free previews than when you actually get the channel. Then they started doing those original series, but I can't say they ever interested me much. Game of Thrones itself is basically like the Borgias and Medici that happens to take place in a fantasy setting. A political drama. No thanks. I don't know how a streaming/on-demand Toonami would work or even what would be the point. Demarco seems to think traditional cable is still going to last a while. I can't link you to the Ask.fm post now because their mobile page is still loading malware garbage, and I'm not going to the computer right now, but the post should still be fairly recent. Demarco says it's a slow bleed, and you'd be paying as much as a full cable bill to get all the streaming services now that everyone thinks they need to have their own. He's not wrong about the last part at least. It defeats the purpose of having those streaming services if everyone has one and all the content is separated instead of being in one place like on Hulu and Netflix, and not saving you any money. Ok now that's just crackpot nonsense.
