Man, I've got a major backlog on mine, lol. Gotta get some more shows off there. None of it is Toonami stuff, though. Some stuff I want to keep, others I still need to watch. Got a bunch of American Pickers and Anitques Roadshow I need to watch! My aunt and I watch them together, heh. The other stuff I have is mostly documentary shows from PBS and Science Channel, etc.

Yeah I think you are pretty spot on here. Lots of great stuff to think about in this post. My other thought that since it was a dream, the current character having the flashback/dream had their current thoughts come into the flashback for a moment. We've seen this before in other movies, shows, etc. Especially when transitioning back to the current time. I want to say this happened in the Ted Danson Gulliver's Travels? And maybe the original book, too, not sure. But in this case it may be more than that and actually be something fantastical like you described. And yep, Titan Force lol.

That's not a bad idea. I just don't know how many people will actually watch the marathon. I also would prefer to have as few marathons as possible in general. And holy shit you must have a huge DVR to still have something saved that old!

I mentioned before how if they aren't willing to go out of their way to do some finagling to air the show in its entirety, through preempting something or having the rest of the shows start late, possibly filling extra space with half a Pop Team Epic, total immersion event, various other shorts they've aired over the years or whatnot, they shouldn't air it all. Syfy played OPs and EDs in full, but cut in-episode things for time, mostly stuff that could be cut without losing anything important, like establishing shots and whatnot. I would think Toonami should be above cutting main content for time. OPs, EDs, previews, Petit Clovers, etc, is one thing, but this? They should have just passed on the series entirely if they couldn't or wouldn't air it properly. And I say this as someone who really isn't looking forward to this show at all. I wouldn't seek it out to watch it through other means. I'm only watching it because Toonami is airing it. But, it's the principle of the thing. The quality and care we [should] come to expect from Toonami. And if it happened to this show, it can happen to another show that we and/or I care more about.

I thought it was 45 minutes. Still, 31 is too long to have enough room for commercials in a 30 minute block. And no, not an asinine thing like what you said. But there are ways. They made Hellsing work. They could make this work. The whole block is premieres now so they really couldn't put it later and just cut some reruns for a week or make them late. They could have preempted something for a week or something, or had each show be late after it. If space is over they could air or re-air something short to fill the space, like a total immersive event, half a Pop Team Epic, or those various other shorts they've aired before, or something like it. They've done stuff like that before. They've had nights where shows had irregular start times to air something that doesn't fit a time slot. Again, if it wasn't going to fit the block to where they could air it properly, they should have passed on it. I hope nothing vital gets cut.

And now we reach the point where Naruto's story took a shitty direction. Sasuke isn't brought back in this arc or even one or two after this, and this is an issue for the whooooole rest of the series. And Sasuke is unsympathetic and his friendship with Naruto poorly built up so the whole concept falls flat on its face. I actually thought that Choji was going to die here. I also thought that these four would be in the show for a long time, but they didn't last long at all. Why is it Kimimaro instead if Kimimaru? Amazing all the VAs that came back.
