I have seen a few episodes since my friend was watching it. I don't see the point of watching a Batman show without Batman. It's like Agents of SHIELD that I dropped after the pilot. Just a Marvel-flavored cop show. No superheroes. Beware the Batman was pretty bad. Batman, Batman Returns, The Animated Series, and the Nolan trilogy are all sitting there waiting. I'm surprised you didn't get into Batman as a kid.

And like I said earlier it's the exact same as the Scrooge McDuck voice for some unknown reason, which is going to be extremely distracting.

HBO is part of Warner? We never had the actual HBO channel. Too expensive, and those premium channels were usually much better during the free previews than when you actually get the channel. Then they started doing those original series, but I can't say they ever interested me much. Game of Thrones itself is basically like the Borgias and Medici that happens to take place in a fantasy setting. A political drama. No thanks. I don't know how a streaming/on-demand Toonami would work or even what would be the point. Demarco seems to think traditional cable is still going to last a while. I can't link you to the Ask.fm post now because their mobile page is still loading malware garbage, and I'm not going to the computer right now, but the post should still be fairly recent. Demarco says it's a slow bleed, and you'd be paying as much as a full cable bill to get all the streaming services now that everyone thinks they need to have their own. He's not wrong about the last part at least. It defeats the purpose of having those streaming services if everyone has one and all the content is separated instead of being in one place like on Hulu and Netflix, and not saving you any money. I'm sure it's possible for him to have had it before and just never used it, or learn new powers or ways to use ones he already has. But Super seems to act like the barrier ability (the one he used in DBZ once to protect himself that he keeps spamming in Super) is unique to 17, which I doubt is the case since 18 is his twin.

It's technically the end of the first half of season 3, and part 2 is coming to Japan in October. We might not have to wait til next year given how fast SAO usually gets dubbed and on the block.

Why was he ranking first? The cool factor I can see, but he's an asshole. Sasuke's "friendship" with Naruto consists of them being little shits to each other and Kishimoto constantly going back to a whole THREE friendship moments that had and the characters saying that their best friends. So because of that shitty build up and Sasuke being a bit of a bastard from the start, it's kind of hard to buy in to the whole destroyed friendship thing and wanting Sasuke to redeem himself. Besides, Kakashi is way "cooler" than Sasuke, anyway, if cool factor is the main concern.

That's definitely true. They ignored the Fairy Tail requests (and for a long time Demarco had never even seen it -_-) and went to great lengths to get Gundam back, going as far to travel to Japan with Gill multiple times to negotiate with Sunrise directly. He likes Lupin too. I didn't think Lupin ever had a huge fan base.

Didn't know they were making a movie of this. That was the theory for Death Note and Ghost in the Shell too. And plenty of other series that aren't so tied to Japanese culture and would be easy to do in live action (though you can do almost anything with good effects now.) Same should theoretically be true for Bebop. We'll see how that goes. On top of the other two factors, the success of superhero movies should make this one work easily too.

Demarco, Gill, and the others hold a lot of influence and are heavily involved in the block, otherwise there would have been no difference between Toonami and the old ASA. They've also been personally involved in acquisitions as they made multiple trips to Japan to negotiate directly with Sunrise to bring Gundam back (totally worth it /s.) And the way Demarco reacted to the backlash to the MHA move is telling he is not innocent in all this.

We saw Demarco getting all defensive saying if everyone who was mad now had watched it, it wouldn't have gotten moved. Except wasn't it doing well?
