dragon ball super Dragon Ball Super Episode 127 Discussion
ben0119 replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
I just had a thought. Since 17 has infinite energy, could he use the energy transfer move to give energy to others? He could completely replenish people with no cost to himself. Maybe even power up people stronger. Or would that not work since it's inorganic energy or whatever?- 81 replies

How much manga material is there? You think those will just be regular 30 minute episodes, or longer? And be careful of encouraging Al with your Halloween-themed suggestions. Though at least this time it might make some more sense! You're forgetting about WHEELCHAIR STRICKEN KIRITO! Not if Shield Hero was one of the FELL THROUGH shows. But yeesh I hope all the budget wasn't blown already. Is there even any indication that Gen:Lock is getting a second season? Does the story even require it? Oh I forgot about that. Yeah I wouldn't put too much stock into Demarco thinking of this with any business sense lmao.

Nowhere as far as I'm aware. But in his tweet he said "before you ask, yes, it's all in black and white." So definitely bragging about it and thinking it is "cool." I can totally see him being involved in the decision or at least it being his idea. Sounds like something goofy he would do. If it's not on him, but the anime producers, or even the author, it's still stupid. If anything, the art and visuals would be look nicer and be more scary in color, and they'll probably just have to make more epilepsy warnings because of the spirals and other stuff being in black and white on the screen messing with people's vision lmao.

Well that "shonen drivel" is what keeps the block running. But it's still possible to have anchor shows, and some more experimental stuff on the side. Think of Michiko & Hatchin and Megalobox. It's been done. But doing this show and then going as far as to do it in black and white because reasons, and they probably want to put it in a prominent position... it may end up seriously backfiring. And we've all seen how productive their model of airing what they want to see has helped. How much money and airtime has been wasted on Gundam and other Demarco fetishes? Still think it's hilarious they spent the money on Origin just because Demarco is obsessed with Gundam, but then someone with actual business acumen made sure it was death-slotted so it wouldn't fuck up the rest of the block lmao.

fire force Fire Force Episode 7 Discussion!!!

I read that as "lewdist harem lord" at first lmao. Still, at least our protagonist here has a pulse! And here's more Maki - -
Where was this said that Funimation was responsible and not Adult Swim? All I remember him saying was "we're not editing Fire Force." Does that mean we as in Toonami, Adult Swim, or S&P? If S&P did it he can still say "wasn't us lol" and be referring to S&P and that doesn't mean Funimation did it. But that means nothing anyway because he has claimed they weren't responsible for cutting the post-credits AoT scene and it turned out they were. So it's clear he doesn't exactly run a tight ship as he doesn't even know what's going on there and just assumes it's not on him because no way do they ever fuck up at Adult Swim and Toonami or do stupid shit. In fact, we already had this discussion in that thread - https://unevenedge.com/topic/44066-fire-force-episode-3-discussion/?do=findComment&comment=826471 https://unevenedge.com/topic/44066-fire-force-episode-3-discussion/?do=findComment&comment=828828 https://unevenedge.com/topic/44066-fire-force-episode-3-discussion/?do=findComment&comment=828959 Demarco was covering his ass but still didn't really explain what was going on. Just "lol wasn't us!" Tentacle penetration?

All I did was search for Maka Albarn eyes. How is that relevant to Maka being covered in jizz?! -

Usually you can tell. Usually they will change something, the color, whatever. Even if they try do it exact you can usually tell something is off. The way Maka looked there it seemed not like an original screen shot. And as I said, if something on DeviantArt isn't a redraw or original art, it shouldn't be there! -

I was going to say that's not what the actual anime looks like, but doing a quick google image search, it looks like the show has quite a few art shifts in it. Also looks like a show that I should watch lmao - Edit - Also, another character with eyes that change lol. https://preview.redd.it/clhwgy5ekhb21.gif?format=mp4&s=5a3160370d1612c67b1cc1eaba84f7aaa31482e3 Don't know why that gif wouldn't embed, but it will embed inside the embed of the reddit page if I post that. ...Embed. -

It's made long mostly by the pics I posted. I could have spoilered some of it, I guess, but eh. I was determined! And still didn't find most of what I was looking for. Well it was hosted from DeviantArt. That's meant for uploading your own art, not just putting random images up. If it's not at least a redraw ,then they just jacked a screen shot and claimed it as theirs, or at the very least are misusing the site, as it's not an image hosting site in that sense. -
black clover Black Clover Page 86 Discussion

I went ahead and re-watched episode 53 and made some notes of things. It's the episode where Yami confronts Vangeance about possibly being the leader of the Midnight Sun. I sense it may be relevant soon. Here's my post from the last thread - Okay, I re-watched episode 53, which is the one where Yami has his meeting with William Vangeance in the tree. Yami acknowledges their history, going back 10 years, and how they both became Magic Knight Captains, and fought together on the battlefield multiple times. So Yami already knew about this guy's magic. He asks if World Tree Magic is the only kind he has. So I guess people can have more than one type? Vangeance's backstory is that he was the illegitimate son of a noble, and when the heir dies, he is brought to live with the noble family. The noble's wife and everyone else hates him, and mocks him because on the birth mark, yada yada yada. Wizard King invites him to join the Magic Knights, and makes that mask for him. Even Vangeance thought it was tacky! Yami internally monologues that the scars don't show any energy, so they really are birth marks and not wounds from a fight and/or magic (I think that's what that meant,) he doesn't sense any illusion, and his ki tells him that Vangeance isn't lying. Yami decides that Vangeance having the same build and face (scars aside,) and similar voice, is a coincidence. They also had similar ki! Didn't some people theorize at the time that the "dead" heir could be Licht? So they could be brothers? I thought that Licht was an elf, but he's briefly shown when referenced in this episode and has normal ears. I could've sworn he was an elf. Then what was the reason for that flashback with those elves getting wiped out at a wedding during that arc where they fight Licht in a cave? Licht wasn't the groom there? I guess there is some connection to elves because I think that third eye magic is elven or something, and Licht, Vetto, and I think Fana, when she was angry mode, talked about hating humans. And didn't Fana have elf ears when she was with the Midnight Sun and under that spell, or am I remembering wrong? Maybe I should re-watch some other eps if I get the chance. I mean, it wouldn't make sense for elves to be among the nobles, right? There was also some hilarious stuff in this episode with Bell being jealous of Charmy and Asta. She calls Charmy a pint-sized fivehead! Charmy talking about how she's nineteen and her sexiness lmao. Charmy needs to stop being chibi all the time! At least she stops it for a while when she tries to get Yuno's attention in this ep LOL. This is also the ep where Langris tries to kill those villagers along with the enemy snot mage, but Asta, Charmy, and Finral take out the snot mage. Asta launched like a missile and holding his sword in mouth because his arms were still broken LOL. At the end of the ep they have that short scene with the Mage Knights in the Diamond Kingdom. The mysterious one talking still hasn't been fully revealed, but the captions name him as Morris and the credits say he is played by Chuck Huber. Though he sounds different to me, so maybe Chuck Huber has more range than I thought. Mars and the crazy laser beam guy are clearly visible in the group. There's other ones we haven't seen in action yet. One is a big tall fat guy that sort of resembles Gray's big dude form, for whatever that's worth. One looks kind of like Mr. 1 from One Piece, so there's another non-white character. There's another one who is completely in silhouette and impossible to make out anything. Could be a woman, or a guy with shoulder length hair, or that's a helmet lmao. Damn you sunset! Oh, and they all wear fur capes lol. So yeah, lots of relevant stuff in that ep! Oh, and Marx, the Wizard King's assistant is played by Aaron Dismuke! I had thought he was John Burgmeier (Tien, Fried)!- 56 replies

Black Clover Page 86 Discussion Last time on Black Clover, in a hot springs episode with surprisingly little fan service, Yami told the story of his first meeting with Captain William Vangeance, where One Man Seven Samurai Yami was assisted by Vangeance in getting rid of some bandits that were giving farmers a hard time. The two hit it off and decided to both try to become captains. Hopefully tonight, on Black Clover, on Toonami, we will learn why it was necessary to flash back to this and suddenly focus on Vangeance now.

fire force Fire Force Episode 3: Discussion
ben0119 replied to AnimationFan14's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
That first one is from DeviantArt, so could be off from how she looks in the show. Could be a redraw too, which wouldn't look exactly the same. The second two are legit from the show for sure, though. Lol, her eyes look like creepy dead doll eyes most of the time, which always weirds me out, and was tough to get past, since I did end up liking her, and the show overall. And, then, yeah, sometimes they have a pupil and gloss, and it's for certain expressions and reactions (but not always,) and the Black Blood form. My google searches are really not going well, and I remember her having more glossiness to her eyes during those times, but I'm not finding that, so maybe I am remembering wrong, I don't know. Looks like no glossiness to her eyes when she has pupils in the pictures either of us found. I don't remember her eye turning a brighter color at those times, either. Here is a gif where her eye has gloss to it, but no pupil. So I guess there are more than two variations to her eyes. Annoying that it's a gif and not a picture, though, makes it harder to see. And this Maka looks quite a bit different. Looks like this is from Soul Eater NOT. I swear this looks like a totally different person. It looks like Haruko lmao. I guess it is the energy giving her hair a pink tinge, that expression looks like one Haruko would make, and it's easy to trick your mind into seeing the scythe as her guitar hahaha. LMAO, did Maka actually say that? That's pretty great! But yeah, so manga version here, and it more or less jives with the anime examples. Well, I'm tired of looking. I'm not getting anywhere. I can't believe there aren't more pictures uploaded of Maka and her different expressions and how her eyes change, since it's such a distinctive and memorable thing. And Yahoo was no better, less of the relevant results. And Daos was right about it being easier to find anime porn there, but you also get a ton of it when not looking for porn! What the hell. Turn the safe search on and a good amount relevant results get nulled along with the porn. And I'm not even going to bother with Bing, lol. There's got to be a character design guide or lineup like we get with other shows out there somewhere. But maybe that's a more recent thing. Maybe there is a site with a bunch of screen shots. People used to do tons of screen shots for shows back in the day, episode by episode. But I don't know where those sites are now, or if people still kept doing that. I used to remember them for InuYasha and stuff. Otherwise I'd just have to re-watch the show, which I don't know if I have time for that right now. I'm very annoyed lol. Here is a cute, more realistic, alternate art style fan art of Maka, for the heck of it. Gotta' get something out of this, lol. I have seen as much of Fire Force as what Toonami as shown, and just making observations of what I have seen so far. I didn't pick up on all that other stuff. I do remember seeing Death's face somewhere though. Yeah that is what I was getting at. It definitely looks more "normal" anime and not as out there as Soul Eater. This an extreme example and all from Black Blood form, but I don't think we'll be seeing much like this in Soul Eater. Hibana got pretty crazy at times, but not to this level, I don't think. Here is one of Maka just being silly. Again, not close to what we have seen or probably will see in Fire Force. Oh I see. But I'm sure there was a story reason for it, though. -
You literally said that the character acts like she doesn't remember stuff that happens and doesn't respond appropriately to the danger. The way you describe sounds like shitty horror character 101. ...Well, that doesn't sound as much like a spoiler when I put it like that, sounds like something someone would write in a review, but I still prefer to not know those sorts of things going in. Same reason I don't read reviews about movies before I see them. Besides giving away too much info, I don't always agree with them anyway, so it doesn't make sense to use them as a decider over whether to watch something. So I end up reading an opinion that may not help me anyway, and not go in as cold as I wanted! It does suck! It's an old-ass, basic-ass computer, and I definitely need to get a new one, one of these days! But it doesn't load on my phone, either. But, that's old, too. But at least I will be getting a new phone later this week and maybe I can see the emotes you used then!

Maybe their pussification explains editing the Lucky Lecher Lure! Still inconsistent with all the other stuff that's been allowed to fly over the years, though! All I can come up with is because Shinra's hands went under Tamaki's clothes. What has been edited from Food Wars? Also I hear the fan service gets naturally toned down even in the uncut version (as it was in the manga, apparently) as it goes along. Whether through edits, or the series doing it on its own, talk about giving even less reasons to watch that show!

dragon ball super Dragon Ball Super Episode 123 Discussion
ben0119 replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
I had assumed it was because of how "indestructible" the Androids were. Aspects of the Red Ribbon Saga, Androids, and Cell Sagas were seemingly inspired by Terminator. Red Ribbon Saga had Super Android 8, and Major Metallitron. Metallitron looked just like Arnold Schwarzenegger's Terminator! I could be wrong, but that saga would probably line up with the original movie's release, and then with the Androids and Cell, it seems to hearken to Terminator II. With time travel and everything. So, the Androids have indestructible bodies like Terminators. They break out of handcuffs and tank bullets too, which seems just like something a Terminator would do. Though it makes me wonder what happened when Trunks tried to use the sword on his future Androids. Trunks did say the ones in the present were stronger. It could have something to do with the infinite energy, though. Her power level was also higher than Trunks too, so that could be part of it. Either way, it was done to show the power of the Androids, that they could easily whip all the Z Fighters, and even Trunks, who knows the most about them and is also a Super Saiyan himself, he and his mighty sword stood no chance either. I don't know if Toriyama was thinking that much about the mechanics of it, or at least didn't feel the need to explain it. I think the sword probably attains the power level of the person holding it. Toriyama never really went into this, but it's always been a thing in stories, and to an extent in the real world, that "true swordsmen are one with their weapon." So this is probably how it is in Dragon Ball. The person's ki flows through the sword, even if it's not visible. Maybe this was talked about with the power pole or other weapons earlier, but I can't remember. A lot of the important concepts were laid out in the original Dragon Ball and not referred to again. We didn't have flying explained again until when Gohan taught Videl and Goten. Trunks' sword was also supposed to come from Tapion, but according to a movie that's not canon. Doesn't say where it came from in canon, but I assume it was made by Bulma and probably of some super-strong material that she came up with or would be available to Capsule Corp. And Dabura is the Demon King and his sword was created, or summoned, by him, so wouldn't exactly be a normal sword, either. Well it's not that I think he held back on the energy on them. Regardless of energy level of the discs, they are supposed to cut through anything, regardless of the target's energy level, as well. More like Goku wasn't intending to hit Jiren with them, or knew Jiren could counter them anyway. He couldn't anyway because you can't kill in this tournament. He used them as a bluff and diversion, yeah. And it would have worked if Jiren hadn't jumped up fucking rubble lmao. Yeah GT definitely not canon, but looking back on it now, is probably more faithful than Super in a lot of ways, and creative with things too, like using the Tuffles, and making the final villains the Dragon Balls themselves was so fitting. I thought Goku was made into a kid to reboot and nerf his power level, but I didn't remember that incident, lol. Well like I said, you could train up each level to be stronger, and maybe you be could stronger at your Super Saiyan 1 to someone else who is noob at Super Saiyan 2, which is fine, but saying the others are just powered up versions of 1 and not their own, distinct forms, is bunk, lol. I think her hair is purple at times in the manga, and blue at others. I've seen a lineup of her looks over the years in the anime and it actually changes there too. Sometimes more green than blue. But I mean, it's not really blue in the first place, it's turquoise, which has green in it, but I didn't realize her hair varied that much until I saw that pic. Oh you mean her hairstyle in the Androids Saga? Kind of similar to 18's I guess. Maybe that is how it happened. Still, oof. When was the last time he looked at widely available pictures of his own characters? Lol. Found this on Reddit - So Bulma's hair was only blue in the first chapter! My life is a lie! This is as bad as finding out Puar is male! Here's an interesting thread on it. Thoughts are Toei just liked her blue hair first chapter appearance better? And here's another thread that just muddies the waters, lol. As for 18... Apparently him just plain old forgetting. And to make matters worse, not even writing stuff down! Yes he needs to stop. T__T Or at least people need to stop asking him this stuff. And I definitely hope most fans aren't taking what Toriyama says as gospel! P.S. Sorry the post got so long, I had to do a deep dive there lmao. Edit - CORRECTION: After seeing this post - Damn it, Toriyama! The iconic Bulma with motorcycle picture is still super-hot, though. But I remember my friend getting the action figure of that and pretty sure she had blue hair! Also for some reason Bulma likes to ride those scooters in that weird bent over position instead of actually sitting on the seats lol. -
https://bloody-disgusting.com/tv/3581544/trailer-toonami-adapting-junji-itos-uzumaki-four-episode-series-2020/ So, this thing is just going to be a 4 episode mini-series. So I guess it's a short manga, or maybe these episodes will be longer than 30 minutes. I don't know. I can't imagine they would be cutting things with all the stuff being said about the director being an Ito fan and making this of utmost faithful adaptation. Demarco was gushing over something he worked on being covered by Bloody Disgusting and didn't dispute anything written in the article, so I assume it's correct. They also went to a shrine so they wouldn't be "cursed by the dark content of Uzumaki." Could just be me, but Demarco looked he was being douchy when he was ringing the bell. Oh, and the Uzumaki book he was holding has a color cover!
