It's a shame since One Piece had such a good track record before then. I mean, Don Flamingo was fine as a character and not so over-the-top and gross looking, and it was never stated he was gay during the Alabasta Arc, nor was homosexuality every directly referenced, perhaps for the better if this was Oda's idea of how to portray it. What's more, those characters are just straight up fucking annoying. It reminds me of those old racist cartoons of black people. Some of those artists at the time were racist and using black people as jokes, but sadly others were well-intended and thought they were being progressive and inclusie, and I think the latter is the case here with Oda. You wouldn't have One Piece fanboys defending this if it were black people being depicted like this instead of gay people.

It's amazing how intelligent and human Goku seems here compared to Super. The person(s) writing Super, regardless of how much of that is Toriyama or Toei, may have watched old Dragon Ball, but misunderstood Goku's character and personality. Goku is no scholar by any means, but he does have some semblance of common sense and logic, like here with the time limit to fight the Saiyans, and it's implied that Goku doesn't think King Kai's jokes aren't funny, not because he's so dumb he doesn't get them, but because the jokes suck. Besides that, Goku is a genius when it comes to fighting, training, tactics and strategy. Goku may like to enjoy a good fight, but it was never at the expense of innocents. Goku put others first. Remember when Goku moved fights not just because of danger to people, but ANIMALS? Remember when Goku destroyed an entire army, in part to help a friend and save others from their cruelty? When he was willing to sacrifice his life to save the Universe from Frieza, and Cell? So no, Toriyama, Goku was most definitely never "someone who didn't fight for justice but just liked to fight strong guys." He wasn't a fucking idiot either.

Yeah I was glad I never watched Lost or Battlestar Galactica, haha. With Lost, since I didn't watch it when it started, and it was obvious this wasn't one of those shows you could just jump into, and it wasn't so easy to catch up on shows back in those days, I never got around to watching it. I had to catch up on Charmed by recording reruns. Not that I was super interested in Lost anyway, but when I heard how things turned out, I felt like a dodged a bullet lol. Hopefully the AoT author can avoid such a fate. He's pleasantly surprised me with most of the reveals and developments with Historia and the government, among other things. Episode 5 - Did the art style change for this flashback of the battle with Laughing Coffin? Or is just that Kirito and Asuna were younger here? Ah, so we FINALLY get to see what happened in the real world after Kirito got attacked by Johnny Black. But wait, what happened to Johnny Black? Surely Asuna called the cops? Haha yeah Season 2 was like appetizer, or half an appetizer. We learned who a bunch of Titans were... though originally I didn't think they had humans in them, much less that they would be known characters. Once it was clear that Eren wasn't unique in his Titan Shifter ability, I assumed the Colossal and Armored Titans would be important people in whatever enemy faction might be behind the Titans, with the Colossal probably the leader, but they were just grunts and either didn't know much or didn't fork over much knowledge. It was like the cocktease when Annie turned herself into crystal, haha. Not the best way to follow up those reveals, perhaps. Ymir was also a Titan, but without feminine features, for whatever reason, and from a foreign country (how mysterious and interesting!) and wanted to bang Historia (like the rest of us)... but then left, lol. I never watched the new Battlestar Galactica, because I didn't like the old show, which I felt was like a cheesy, poor man's rip off of Star Wars, but from what I hear, tons of characters kept ending up to by Cylons LOL. YOU GET TO BE A TITAN AND YOU GET TO BE A TITAN, AND YOU GET TO BE A TITAN! Maybe they should have delayed Season 2 and put it with Season 3, but I guess they didn't want to make people wait forever. They're already having to split and delay part of season 3. WIT, get your shit together!

Fair enough, lol. I enjoyed it for what it was, but I'm a big fan of 17. The alien poacher battle probably wouldn't be necessary, though, except I guess to get 17 to join the team, but they could have just had him say yes this episode. We'll see how it goes tomorrow. However, I do find it baffling and silly that filler is being put in a series not adapted from manga! And don't tell me they are having a hard time writing Dragon Ball so they need it to buy time while they come up with ideas for the battle royale!

Good stuff. Also, I was surprised to find out that Kenny's squad were actual military. I thought they were his own gang who got their hands on that gear. I mean it was specialized for killing people, but criminals didn't make/modify it! The government did!

You know, I've really warmed up to this show. I think I actually... like it now? Maybe? A little? I didn't care for Attack on Titan much at all when it first started. I think the hype and behavior of some fans didn't help matters. I usually not try to let that affect me, but ehh. But yeah, it was said how in this show that no one is safe, when there's an obvious group of characters who aren't going to die and others that are expendable. It's really easy to see, like that group Eren trained with that you just knew were going to die. And there was that Marco guy and some viewers were broken up about him dying? I'm not even sure who he was lol. The characters in general can be pretty thin and one note, as well. This show is really over-the-top and melodramatic, even for an anime. The constant flashbacks interrupting current events you really want to see what happens next with, and how the pacing could be, was annoying, not to mention the constant losses and setbacks for the protagonists. And being right at the edge of learning new information only to be stopped short. That said, even when I didn't like the show much, I still found the world and the things made for it creative and interesting, and wanted to know what would happen next. The characters have been better developed over time, even if they are still a little one-note, and while there's some I could give two shits about, there's others I find myself liking and caring more about. For example, Christa/Historia wasn't much of a character at first, just that nice cute girl, but she's been a developed a lot since those early days and I never would have expected her to turn out this way or be this important. Now I love her! Probably doesn't hurt that she's Rukia size. Still easy to see who is going to die though! The action, designs, art, and animation were always good. I have to give the author credit for this coup storyline. With many series I would expect that to drag on obnoxiously forever, maybe even be one of the end game things. And those earlier setbacks and losses were definitely building up to the victories and real progress being made now. I've also been pleasantly surprised with the number of reveals that have happened. Now we just have to find out what the deal is with the Titans themselves and what faction might be behind them. Should be interesting!

A full-on remake would be great but I doubt it would happen. Since the showrunner promised to finish InuYasha one day, that's why he had to keep his promise and eventually make Final Act. Since he didn't say it what capacity he would finish it, we got that rush job that was Final Act. But if it did happen, yeah, you gotta bring back that score. Final Act didn't have enough, if any, new music though. Some new characters, like Byakuya of the Dreams, deserved themes. But again, they got by with doing the least they could. It doesn't seem like Sunrise would be too interested in making any more InuYasha and was happy to be done with it. I highly doubt that. Naraku is dead and the Sacred Jewel destroyed, and peace is seemingly brought to the Feudal Era, at least in terms of human vs demon conflicts. Miroku and Sango had three kids, but Inuyasha and Kagome didn't thave any... yet.

LOVED Monster. Was so annoyed Viz didn't release the whole series. I would have bought it. Monster probably technically isn't an action show, but since Toonami isn't adhering to that rule anymore, maybe it has a shot. A longshot at that, though, probably.
