I feel like I've seen this coming for a while now. Cartoon Network which once treated Pokemon like a golden goose has pushed it aside and limited it to one airing a week on the main network while Boomerang has an hour a day around 10PM EST on weekdays and nothing on weekends. I didn't think much of it when Disney got BeyBlade's backlog recently, I just kind of figured no one else was interested but now that they're throwing down big bucks for the 19 previous seasons of Pokemon on top of the new episodes and 15 movies I gotta started thinking they have some plans brewing. Even before this I thought DXD was a strong possibility for Dragon Ball Super but this has erased any remaining doubts in my mind. At the very least I'm sure DXD has interest in acquiring the Dragon Ball franchise and they can most likely outbid Turner for Super and renewing Kai if they want to. 2017 is going to be an interesting year for anime on US television but it looks like starting early next year the only anime on basic cable will be airing on Toonami.

Well considering that, this looks pretty alright in 18-49s.

When was the PPV over? Comedy looked to be doing about what it has done lately.

It usually feels a bit long to me.

Unlike JoJo AND IBO, HxH has always done well to retain the viewers from it's lead-in so you're talking nonsense boyo. The only thing that's gonna take one of those five long running series off is a contractual issue like say a potential conflict of interest. They're not gonna drop any of them of their on volition.

JoJo is not holding DBZ very well and that's disappointing to see but a 0.48 is anything but bad for 12:30AM premiere on Adult Swim. I know it's too early to say but maybe just maybe they should swap HxH and JoJo come January. Even though I figure Battle Tendency will get more interest, Hunter x Hunter is gonna really ramp up by then and it's already proven itself this year regardless of it's time slot. So maybe they could consider that. I figure they'll put something new at 12:30 in January but they could put HxH at 1AM and JoJo at 1:30 to see how that does. On the other hand Hunter will be fine at 1:30 and JoJo would probably look just fine if it wasn't following DBZ. So that movie, I think it did alright for where it was considering the first hour was not counted at all so what you have is an average of 4AM-5:30AM or 3AM-4:30AM if you want to think of it that way. Had that first hour been counted it likely would have averaged quite a bit better. I don't really see these results causing Toonami to air more movies but I do think it met their expectations for the time period. At the very least it bested Hellsing X and FMA Milos despite airing much later in the night either. It didn't quite beat EVA 2.22's rerun that ran from 2:30-5AM but again only the later hour and a half was counted in this case and it likely would have beat EVA 2.22's rerun had that been the case.

Waiting for the ReLife dub though I've seen it subbed. Not sure when I'll start Dragon Ball Super and I'm very behind on JoJo and One Piece subs.
