  1. As per usual, Attack on Titan waits for no time slot. It makes its own when it is good and ready. I just wish the expansion was forward instead of later into the night. I think this could mean they'll wait until SAO ends to start Gridman and slide Black Clover into 2:30am on January 16th. Otherwise they'll have to shake up the line-up two weeks in a row unless they are sticking Gridman at 2:30am.
  2. Gridman gets delayed for two weeks for reruns... ya'll could have just expanded the block.
  3. Well that started out pretty well in 18-49s but sure didn't stay that way.
  4. Those 4 co-productions are in iron-clad contracts regardless of who owns Crunchyroll. And Adult Swim has a fine relationship with SONY and FUNimation regardless.
  5. Oh yeah, by all means, if they do run a marathon on January 2nd... give 'em hell.
  6. I didn't mean to imply that AT&T thinks the pandemic will be over early in 2021 but right now there's a captive audience that's isn't even interested in subscribing and they're doing whatever they can to change their minds.
  7. AT&T is trying everything they can to get subscribers for HBO Max before people are no longer stuck at home. They’re sacrificing blockbuster film revenue and pissing off basically the whole film industry to get people to buy into HBO Max immediately. They are throwing away probably half a billion dollars by putting WW84, Matrix 4 and those other films on their own service rather than waiting for theaters to be safe again or at least selling the rights to Netflix. I think if WW84 doesn’t get them a few million more subscribers then they’re gonna have to seriously rethink their strategy.
  8. It’s got some good exclusive stuff like Close Enough, the new Looney Tunes and Ghibli movies but the service is nowhere near Netflix or Disney+ level. They should have waited until they had more content ready.
  9. CN and Toonami are both playing Wonder Woman films to hype WW84 in theaters and on HBO Max on Christmas Day. It's the first of Warner's big budget films to premiere on HBO Max the same day as theaters. While it's possible there could be other HBO Max pushes for other stuff down the line, I expect them to be pretty rare. Hyping up WW84's same day release is a wise decision because if they cannot get people to sign up for Max for that highly anticipated film then they're not gonna have much luck convincing people for most of 2021. They gotta try everything they can to make that roll out a success. So frankly having Toonami air a few movies and having CN air the live-action Wonder Woman movie that same night is kind of the bare minimum of what they ought to be doing to hype WW84 for HBO Max. Like I don't think we'll see Toonami run an usual schedule to shill for the HBO Max same day release of Godzilla vs. Kong in May. But if HBO Max wants to sponsor the inevitable Memorial Day or 4th of July marathons, I'm all for it.
  10. That's certainly an exaggeration. I know you don't like disruptions of your shows but this really isn't something to fret about.
  11. If it's not reruns, then bring it on. It might be the only way we get to see a lot more American action animation on Toonami. Besides, AT&T probably isn't going to be giving Toonami a tremendous acquisitions budget for 2021 (hopefully more than 2020 at least) so stretching material and getting more free movies would help keep things from getting stale.
  12. I'm all for more DC movies on Toonami and that Wonder Woman one is pretty new even. If we get good movies on Toonami for our trouble then they can shill HBO Max more for all I care. I already have the dang subscription though, I have since the launch in May.
  13. So it’s for the entirety of Ellation? Then VRV is most likely included.
  14. They occasionally have to renew it I believe.
  15. I don’t expect there will be a marathon on January 2nd.
  16. You don't know Max. He could be embezzling funds. So the thought dawned on me that this is probably one of those 10 anime projects DeMarco is involved with.
  17. Well, we won't know what Ass Class can do right after Family Guy unless they try it. A less drastic move would be to put Ass Class at 12:30 and shift down SAO but they probably have plans for 12:30 early in the year. (Not likely Gridman for the record). Or perhaps they could move DBS to 11:30 and let Ass Class have midnight.
  18. I'm really starting to think moving DBS out and letting Ass Class air at midnight could actually do pretty well.
  19. Something for them to bitch about other than Gemusetto
  20. I don’t mind sustaining promos just as long as they play them regularly. Are they allergic to lineup promos though? We haven’t had one since February.
  21. If that doesn’t significantly increase subscriptions, probably nothing will. Aside from just being a boon to HBO Max, this feels like a really responsible move on WarnerMedia’s part. Though health concerns are hardly the only reason they would do this. The content can’t make any money sitting on a shelf. Having the films on Max for 31 days along with putting them in theaters where they can be, gives people options. Disney is in a much better position to simply wait to put out their Marvel movies but WarnerMedia is bleeding and has to try something drastic to stop that bleeding. Hopefully the increase in subscriptions is worth it because they are also giving pirates high quality video to share on day one instead of limiting that to cam footage taken at a theater. Because there’s too many services now and nobody wants to pay for all of them.
  22. Because it costs nothing more to rerun Demon Slayer at 3am?
  23. Well I'm glad we won't have to wait until January to see how this story arc ends. Hopefully they're not doing something like running a DBS marathon until 2am that night. It would be pretty lousy of them to lead into a one hour season finale of Gemusetto with a marathon of reruns for another show. And I don't think they're quite crazy enough to air a rerun marathon of Gemusetto to lead into 4 new segments of it.
  24. Spear and Fang occasionally have a nice moment. And it was also pretty comical at points when they didn't get along very well yet.
