Well, Cardi B's last name is Almanzar, she's got at least one Latino parent, but even people with no latino blood in The Bronx sound like her but to a lesser degree.

I didn't remember hearing an accent when I was in California, but that was a long time ago. Some places in the country you visit and you're like, "Damn, what did you say?" and others it's not so obvious. As far as NY goes you will hear different accents depending on the borough, especially the Bronx where the accent has a latin flair

I did for a day or two and then my parents told me they were kidding. We were in Alabama in some diner and they had a pic of the Brooklyn Bridge on the wall. The waitress knew right away we were from NY and asked us, “Have y’all ever seen that bridge?” in college I was told by an Australian student that she loved my accent. I looked at her sideways cuz lol, for real?
