I usually do Tuesday night yoga at 6:45 but for some reason forgot what time the class was today and came at 5:45. I wondered why I didn't recognize any of the people in the room and there were only like 3 people there when it's usually a pretty popular class. Probably would have just stayed and pretended I meant to come all along but it was one of their premium classes or whatever and I just have a basic membership. How embarrassing. At least now I can get my cardio out of the way before rather than after yoga and leave earlier.

I keep hoping he'll post a bit too much info about the school he works at so he can doxx himself and someone here can alert the administrative staff there that they've hired an insane person who cannot be trusted to be within 50 yards of a school. Assuming that he even actually has a job at a school, which I really doubt.

Someone asked that today and the trainer wasn't sure

That's why they said we could read a book There's apparently some cleaning duties that 3rd shift has, and they get the clients up and ready for the day late in their shift (around 5am). Also just because the clients are SUPPOSED to sleep doesn't mean they do for 8 straight hours. Apparently some clients are one-on-one and have to be at arm's length at all times and their staff has to sit outside their door. That would suck

Honestly if this weren't for the state I probably would have nope'd out of there as soon as I heard they can mandate us to work a double. But the pay is better than anything I'm gonna find in this field at this level, and the benefits and opportunities for advancement if I can get a permanent position would be amazing.
-
The cameras are there to make sure no one is abusing the clients or anything. And to help clear staff when clients make false allegations. Apparently they're considering changing the cell phone policy to be a bit more lenient. I would imagine we still couldn't be on our phones all shift though, since we're there to help the clients not look at our phones

I'm not bringing my computer in to get broken/stolen And I'm pretty sure there's an implied to computers rule since there's already a no cell phone rule.

My pay is $15.60, so it would actually be 23.40 <_< And yes I look forward to the paycheck for sure. Too bad I'll have no time to spend it. Apparently there was a news story awhile back about some nurses that worked here who made more money than the state governor because of how much OT they did. Granted their base pay is higher and they did some voluntary OT on top of the mandated OT, but still.

My assigned shift is 2pm-10pm but there are so few people to work 3rd shift right now that they will sometimes make us stay over for 3rd shift. Hopefully they hire more staff soon and it doesn't last long. They have cameras everywhere so they'd see me with my phone and I can't sleep with my eyes open.

Getting mandated overtime is going to be so much fun when I have to work 2pm-6am And then drive 30 minutes home just to sleep for 6 hours and then get ready to go back to work At least I'm hourly I do think it will be a fun job so hopefully they get more staff really soon so I won't have to do too much of this mandated overtime <_< Working 3rd shift especially is gonna suck since there's not as much to do since most clients are sleeping. There may be the occasional person who has a behavior issue at 4am that needs dealing with but not as many as I'll see on 2nd. We're not allowed to sleep or use our phones ever and I'm afraid that I'll either 1. Fall asleep while on shift due to being bored, 2. Fall asleep while driving home and crash my car, or 3. Have a client start acting out and me not do what I'm supposed to due to being too tired to think, and then get fired. But they did say we can bring a book to read if we're on 3rd shift, so at least I won't die of boredom.

I'm just seeing how deep of a hole he can dig himself into with this story lol it's good for a laugh

OK that seems a bit strange and potentially dangerous but whatever. Gonna take that as a no on the ISP thing then. Do you even know what an ISP is? Is this "school" even officially certified?
-
Do they have ISPs then? What's the student-teacher ratio? What does them being "sickly" have to do with first aid/CPR? Any time you work with people in a context like that you need first aid and CPR because you never know what's going to happen and you can't always wait for a nurse. And what about Crisis Intervention training? You don't just let the students fight each other. How do you break up fights? What do you do if a student acts out and you are the target? If only a "handful" are docile it sounds like fights would be a frequent occurrence so how do you deal with it?
-
Why would a science fair take all week? This "school" you work at isn't a public school so I can't imagine there is a huge number of students. Also I'm starting to get confused on what type of school this is. At first I thought it was like an at-risk school for kids who have been expelled but now it sounds like a school for special needs kids or something, what exactly is it? Also, either way I would have thought you would have to have training in First Aid/CPR and some form of Crisis Intervention training before staring but it sounds like you just were given a manual and thrown right in.

This one puts it better than I ever could. Happened to me twice

At my new job there's the chance we might have to work 16 hour days from time to time once we get out of training. I live half an hour away. Not looking forward to that

Dude, fuck this bandwidth limit for comcast

WTF are you people doing that you gotta worry about a 1TB data limit? That's what I have with my ISP and I've never even hit 300GB in one month. And this is with 2 people in the apartment who use the internet or stream stuff pretty much every waking/non-working hour. -
I thought I measured it wrong at first so I added more but then I realized I was right the first time and tried to scoop some out but realized I couldn't so I tried to add more of everything else but I don't think it worked. They're not bad, just a bit drier than usual. Not nearly as tasty tho.

I have no opinion of Amy Schumer. I don't really find her funny and she seems like a bad person from what I've heard about her but I really don't care enough to read about what she does.

He is supposedly working at an at-risk school so I wouldn't be surprised if a student kills him lol.
-
So she was "rude" for minding her own business and talking to a coworker but your drunk ass interrupting her isn't rude? OK there bud. You know what? You do you, bud. The more you act like yourself the sooner you get fired/arrested.

I still can't tell if you're talking about a student or another teacher. Not that it's creepy either way, but the former is way creepier.
