Yeah, I was skipping some steps. But maybe Trump's right? Hear me out...he gets his wish and after a lengthy process lasting 4 years, he gets his wish and it is ratified the day after his term ends. He is immediately deported to Germany by the next administration.

He can have his minions in Congress present it. Eventually, at least 38 states would have to ratify it. Unless, of course, SCOTUS says he has every right to make changes 'cause he's POTUS - but that would create a real problems. I'm not putting anything past him or his cabal. He's going to make Nixon look saintly.

When I first saw this pic a couple days ago, I missed the yellow & blue, but instead I wondered about the relative heights of the subjects. Trump is listed as anywhere from 5' 11" to 6' 3", Macron is supposed to be 5' 7" and Zelensky 5' 7". Something's off - beyond what footwear they have. I wouldn't think Zelensky cares about height. Macron might, but Trump seems much taller, but as much as 8" taller?

Hard to say. One of the rebel factions leaders is saying the right things (giving people rights), but once anyone takes power in that region it seems to prove the old adage about "Absolute power corrupts absolutely". We'll see.

Seems like that type of person feels that anything gold plated makes the item acceptable. My folks had a neighbor in FL. who had the most gauche taste, with many items (like large ceramic lions) spray painted in gold (worked so well the the double-wide mobile home). Claimed she was an interior decorator and offered to "fix up" my folks place after my dad passed. I told her I was moving my mom in with me, selling their place to the office and she said, "well, let the office know I'm available".

Back when the price was yoyo-ing, it seemed somewhat contrived. Price goes up...well, there was a fire at a refinery in Indiana (ok, I get it, supply drops cost goes up). Then the price went back up a bit more after they fixed the Indiana refinery...well, they had to shut down another plant for "maintenance". (ok...). Then, there was another fire at a different plant (seriously? Are you guys Russian and having "cigarette incidents"?). Then there was some other plant issue elsewhere...oh, and not to forget the "switch" between Summer blend and Winter blend gas price increase. Lately here, it seems like the price of gas gets below $3/gal, then jumps 40-50 cents, and slowly declines again...but I never hear a corresponding reason/excuse. I could also rant about our local "E88" blend - cheaper, but the mileage sucks bad, so you have to buy it more often, off-setting the "cheapness".

Yeah, the BBC this morning is reporting that there were at least 3 potential flights he could have been on. The aforementioned missing plane (dropped below radar, transponder turned off, maybe crashed), one that headed for UAE (but Assad purportedly was not seen on that one), and one that headed for Russia.

Trust me, if it had been closer to the real worth of the instrument and I had been interested in buying it, I'd have read up on what to look for before forking over the money.

Last time I was in a pawn shop (~40 yrs ago), I spotted a Fender Strat. Took a look at it & it was priced at $275. I figured it was a Strat neck attached to a knock-off body, and moved on.
