Those things on the space version of the Akatsuki's back aren't wings. They're more or less drones (It can shoot them out and they fly around shooting shit). >.> Also, the ridiculous lance thing on the Delta Gundam is supposed to be a shield. It's pretty rediculous, but not as ridiculous as the Delta Kai's shield.
