Mako was fine, but her family had the most painful introduction, I could barely even fathom why people liked them. My reaction to the whole dinner scene was pretty much the same as Ryuko's. Complete dumbfoundedness.

BLACK CLOVER - It's been a while since I've last seen the full version of the avant title. Good, so the middle of bumfuck-nowhere wasn't the only place they stuck a statue of the first Wizard King. Every time he brings up his infatuation with her, I have to wonder if it's because of her looks, her personality, or just the fact that she's a nun. Gross. I'll admit that KLK and the original LWA short are the only Trigger works I've seen, but I'm sure I'd like most of the others regardless, because that's how I roll.

I personally enjoyed Progressive, but even I think the ending kinda sucked. Dorei-ku of all things had a neater conclusion than Progressive did.

That and A-1/Cloverworks did most of the animating. IIRC, Trigger only worked on 6 episodes.
