  1. If it's Bang Zoom and not Spliced Bread/VSI, there is a chance they could get Spike Spencer back.

  3. Five years ago. Seven if you're referring to the Freezing franchise as a whole.
  4. Don't feed the troll, it'll only make him stronger.
  5. Nothing concrete, really. I just find what I remember of Asuka from 2.22 (which I only last saw five years ago) less annoying than the Asuka I've witnessed now on my current watch. Though if you're looking for a reason, you could say it was the quality of the old ADV dub combined with the gratuitous German phrases and exclamations that shaped that opinion to a fuller form, or something. I really suck with words when I'm put on the spot like this...
  6. My uncle and I started our Evangelion watch with the ADV dub, and we're sure as hell finishing it with the ADV dub. So tough luck, Netflix.
  7. Half her entire last name. Asuka Langley Sohryu becomes Asuka Langley Shikinami. (Besides, it was obvious her last name changed, hence why I brought up the difference.)
  8. The Shikinami edition of Asuka from the Rebuild movies wasn't as in-your-face German as the OG Sohryu Asuka was, that's what I'm saying. It actually made her more tolerable.
  9. Dude, Evangelion's super fucking popular and the original series hasn't seen a re-release in the decade since ADV imploded. This is a big deal, regardless of whether or not you personally understood it.
  10. Assuming losing the usual Dragonball-only crowd is "not finding an audience", its poor ratings may stain the new Toonami-Crunchyroll partnership? Why the fuck do I even try with you people.
  11. Which had character designs from the director of Witch Hunter Robin, thus proving him right.
  12. If Mob Psycho's a bust, then why's Crunchyroll partnering with [as] for that new Blade Runner anime?
  13. TOO LATE. In short, it's about a seemingly unkillable soldier and a hunter girl searching for hidden Ainu (Japanese equivalent of Native American) gold and running afoul of others that are seeking it in early 20th century Hokkaido. It's pretty crazy and fun and I'm disappointed yet understanding that you don't want any of that. That sounds exactly like something the anime adaptation would skip.
  14. I think we'd be too distracted by the bears to care about the rest of the homoeroticism.
  15. FUN FACT: The Blade Runner 2022 anime short that came out a while back was directed by Shinichiro Watanabe. I swear, half of Demarco's decisions concerning the block have something to do with his undying homolust for Bebop.
  16. This one guy who was my arch-nemesis on the ASMB at that time kept calling Kekkaishi "Y7 drivel", despite several episodes being TV-14. In a way, I was sort of relieved when, after you took his place, you simply called it crap.
  17. ...I really need to catch up on Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
  18. Just as yesterday's episode of Tonegawa predicted.
  19. Oh well, at least the Game/Win did decent.
  20. And that's supposed to make it automatically unfunny to everybody else?
  21. I'm not nearly as hateful of Black Clover as the rest of you upstanding people, but hey, any opportunity to vent. The Black Bulls are definitely the worst example of this. Now, on their own, I have no problem with them - [dodges thrown objects] - but when they're all together in a room... Eugh. Angel wasn't exaggerating when she called them "exhausting" a couple months ago. Every time they have an ensemble appearance, I always find myself checking items off a mental list of the aforementioned one-note gags. Luck itching to fight someone strong? Check. Charmy stuffing her face? Check. Gauche nosebleeding over his little sister? Check. Vanessa acting drunk, sexy, or both? Check. Finral hitting on women who aren't even there? Check. Gordon whisper-speaking something innocuous and Grey billowing out smoke with that same groan? Double-check. Even when the show finds the opportunity to insert extra jokes to make it less boring - the best example being #30, with such variations as Gauche asking to extend his one-day vacation by an entire year to celebrate his sister's birthday and Vanessa saying that pot-potatoes would make a decent bar snack - it's still depressingly basic. Hell, the only member I don't dread partaking in these festivities is Magna, because having your gimmick be "wannabe cool guy" leaves you open for a lot more to do than the rest. Plus it's Ian Sinclair chewing on the scenery, which I always welcome. That and he has the best lines. "Eh, it's Future Yami's problem."
  22. Chuukan Kanriroku Tonegawa 21
