Nope. Gran Torino's voiced by Charlie Campbell, while Tien's voiced by John Burgmeier. -

Nothing concrete, really. I just find what I remember of Asuka from 2.22 (which I only last saw five years ago) less annoying than the Asuka I've witnessed now on my current watch. Though if you're looking for a reason, you could say it was the quality of the old ADV dub combined with the gratuitous German phrases and exclamations that shaped that opinion to a fuller form, or something. I really suck with words when I'm put on the spot like this...

Half her entire last name. Asuka Langley Sohryu becomes Asuka Langley Shikinami. (Besides, it was obvious her last name changed, hence why I brought up the difference.)
-
The Shikinami edition of Asuka from the Rebuild movies wasn't as in-your-face German as the OG Sohryu Asuka was, that's what I'm saying. It actually made her more tolerable.

Assuming losing the usual Dragonball-only crowd is "not finding an audience", its poor ratings may stain the new Toonami-Crunchyroll partnership? Why the fuck do I even try with you people.

Toonami's Producing a Blade Runner Anime

Which had character designs from the director of Witch Hunter Robin, thus proving him right. -
If Mob Psycho's a bust, then why's Crunchyroll partnering with [as] for that new Blade Runner anime?

Could *Insert shitty show here* be headed to Toonami?
PokeNirvash replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
TOO LATE. In short, it's about a seemingly unkillable soldier and a hunter girl searching for hidden Ainu (Japanese equivalent of Native American) gold and running afoul of others that are seeking it in early 20th century Hokkaido. It's pretty crazy and fun and I'm disappointed yet understanding that you don't want any of that. That sounds exactly like something the anime adaptation would skip.- 396 replies

I think we'd be too distracted by the bears to care about the rest of the homoeroticism.- 396 replies

Toonami's Producing a Blade Runner Anime
PokeNirvash replied to mochi's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
FUN FACT: The Blade Runner 2022 anime short that came out a while back was directed by Shinichiro Watanabe. I swear, half of Demarco's decisions concerning the block have something to do with his undying homolust for Bebop.
