What makes you say that? If anything, Sumire is a much more sensible spelling than the same but with a T tacked on the front end. Lots of Naruto/Boruto names come from various one-word Japanese terms, with Sumire's coming from 菫, meaning "violet". I'm more of a storyteller when it comes to words than with pictures, but I totally get the whole "making sense of the world before putting pen to paper on the story" thing. Creating a setting that feels lived in, whether it be through characters, plot, or other means of worldbuilding, is key to a good story.
