HUNTER x HUNTER - Rewatched this because why not. The real Diego's little poetry recital was the best part IMO, but Meruem and Komugi's final moments were nice too. Also, they should've aired the Food Wars promo more often than they did, Gundam Origin's time to shine was last week.

The best part about Endless Eight was the fact that despite six of the episodes being exact repeats of one another, they were all animated from scratch and directed by different people, making it seem way less lazy than one would initially think based on the hyperbolic reactions people have to them. I still wish Bang Zoom went full gag dub with iterations 3 through 7. I'd have loved to see what their takes on it with various gimmicks would be. My favorite suggestion from... someplace was that they treat it like an episode of Bleach, with the characters playing their roles. Koizumi as Ichigo, Nagato as Rukia, Mikuru as Orihime, and Haruhi as either Tatsuki or Yoruichi. And Kyon, being voiced by a union VA who was never in Bleach, would be left wondering what the hell they're all talking about.

I always found Toshiyuki Tsuru to be an extremely underrated director. It's a shame he's only been chief director for one and a half shows, a Naruto movie, and a Shippuden filler arc that almost was a movie because his work is amazing, and it's partly thanks to it that I was able to shape Kinky Kunoichi into the hypothetically-an-anime-actually-a-story it is today. I've also grown to appreciate Hideaki Anno's understandably pretentious but nevertheless breathtaking style after finally finishing Evangelion (ADV).

Will MHA see a schedule promotion at the last minute before July 6th and avoid its deathslot like JoJo, or will it stay there until the distributor tells Turner to quit that shit - which could be months from now - like with Geass and Moribito? Place your bets, people. And put away those crying emoji reactions while you're at it, nobody wants to see those.

For all you know, this could be another Akame/Parasyte situation where one of those four shows you just listed was the one Demarco was after and Food Wars was just part of a package deal.

Still a Sentai property, Al. Still a Sentai property. I hope so, all these popular picks have made Toonami super predictable over the past couple of years. Yeah, fanservice can do that. But on the bright side, it's a Weekly Shonen Jump anime adaptation so it's not like it's guaranteed to be dangerously ecchi 100% of the time, it's directed by the GaoGaiGar and Brigadoon guy so you know it'll be some degree of fun, and when all else fails, there's always the gorgeously drawn cuisine to look at.

Putting it that way, it's more non-interest than negative interest. Non-interest means you aren't interested because it has nothing that appeals to you. Negative interest means you aren't interested because it has something that doesn't appeal to you.

I agree, there does seem to be more to this than just "you weren't watching it when it started the block so we're forcing it to the end, how 'bout that!?". Something tells me the schedule will get reshuffled and MHA will get moved up to a better slot before the day it's set to happen. Just like when JoJo got demoted to 3AM only for that decision to be revoked less than a week after it was announced.

I'll come clean: as someone who just DVRs everything and watches it the next day (or several) anyways, MHA moving down to 3:30 doesn't really affect me as personally as it does the rest of you. But the reactions I'm getting, which rival my insensitively hyperbolic claims that Geass and Moribito being deathslotted in 2008 was "worse than 9/11", are just laughable. Or they would be, if the "CANCEL TOONAMI" crowd wasn't instead making it anger-inducing. Yes, this change sucks. But it's something we have to live with. I'm gonna live with it, and so should you.
