Special birthday update on this season's shows: While I'm liking what I'm seeing of IWGP so far, even I've gotta admit it's pretty blase compared to the powder keg of excitement and personality that was the J-drama, easily one of my favorite live action shows of all time. Curiously enough, I'm getting the most enjoyment right now out of Hypnosis Mic. I wasn't planning on watching this for the plot in any way, so it was easy for me to finally revel in all the ridiculousness the premise has to offer. Even if it's stymied a little by my tendency to count how many times the characters say "fuck", like any true blue content ratings autist. Haven't checked out Akudama Drive yet, but I hear that it's stylish and edgy, and it manages to make it work. A little concerned about the violence censorship (like I haven't dealt with that before through BLOOD-C), but outside of that, I'm still gonna go through with watching it. Even if I have to wait a few more days for personal reasons.

What most people don't know about the [as] Brain Trust is that it was meant to be a panel discussion on the Squidbillies pilot - hence why Early's there - but because the pilot was far from ready yet, they aired PHF in its place instead. The ambiguity of what the "program we just watched" even was helps with that.

Initially, I never found Mineta's perversion to be that much of a problem beyond the usual stigmas that come with being the token pervert, but it really became an issue when it became all he was about. Truly he peaked in the practical exam arc, and it's been a downhill slope ever since. But even if not, I still enjoy it whenever various MHA fanfics dunk on him.

It existed, get over it.

25 going on 26 (read: I age up this Friday) and no. As a wise man once said, "insanity" is best defined as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Which is reason #1 I don't even try to argue my opinion as superior to others, and just accept the fact that some people just dislike things I don't.

Ikebukuro West Gate Park (J-Drama) 11 I don't think I've ever had this much fun watching a live-action show since Brooklyn Nine-Nine (back before it went full liberal). Legitimately great stuff, clearly aged but aged well. 11/10. And with this, I can finally watch the anime undeterred when it drops tomorrow.
