It's crazy how a lot of the cool promotional arts for these classic shows come from/are used for the LaserDisc releases. Very cool stuff.

I love the original Eva Pilot VA's reactions to the redub in how varied they are. Spike Spencer's okay with the redub and wished the cast the best of luck, Amanda Winn Lee hates it and bitched about it like she was having her grave desecrated, and Tiffany Grant was just disappointed that she had to re-audition for the role of Asuka and lost out to a literally who and then she moved to Georgia.

They made the Shinji/Kaworu relationship less obviously romantic.

I'm pretty sure they had VAs of color among their ranks for longer than you claim, they just weren't nearly as numerous or prominent as they are now. I can buy the latter statement though.

Of course you'd bring that up... I mean, there's nothing wrong with Miruko having a black VA. But on the other hand, FUNi does realize they don't have to give every dark-skinned character a dark-skinned VA, especially if they're more brown than black like Miruko is, right?
